The Scream: Scientists Are Brewing New Worse Pandemic

I awoke in a cold sweat. In my dream I was the subject in Edvard Munch’s painting, ‘The Scream.’ Was my bedtime reading Samuel Pepys’ or Daniel Defoe’s accounts of the Great Plague of 1665? Albert Camus’ “The Plague”

Had I just watched “The Andromeda Strain” or perhaps I’d fallen asleep with Stephen King’s “The Stand,” a dark dystopian fantasy of a post-apocalyptic world after a deadly pandemic of weaponized influenza?

After all, the world is still reeling from a virus pandemic that killed one million Americans and 7 million worldwide.

We were lucky that the case fatality rate overall was only about 1% compared to case fatality rate (CFR) three times higher for the Spanish Flu. Consider the toll if Covid-19 had the 34% CFR of MERS-CoV, or the 50% CFR of Ebola. Compared to those pathogens, Covid-19 was very infectious but a relatively inefficient killer.

The cause of my nightmare?

I had just read in bioRXiv an online biology server a very scary medical paper, “Lethal injection of Human ACE2Transgenic Mice Caused by SARS-CoV-2 Related Pangolin Coronavirus GX_P2V(short_3UTR)”, which has scared many virologists around the world. I must not be alone in losing sleep.

Evidence increasingly points to a lab origin at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) as the cause of Covid-19. A year ago, I posted that the most likely source for the virus was the WIV lab (Covid-19 “Lab Leak Origin Makes More and More Sense,” 2/19/23, Des Moines Register).

Former NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci and former CDC Director Francis Collins have now testified before Congress that the lab leak origin is not a conspiracy theory. Nicholas Wade, former science writer for the NYT, reports that new documents have strengthened the lab leak hypothesis of Covid-19’s origin.

Wade recently reported that researchers showed that Covid-19 virus can “be cut into 6 sections if treated with a pair of enzymes at. . .evenly spaced segments [typically used for altering viruses in the lab]. . .Bottom line: if your virus has evenly placed recognition sites, it’s a good bet that it was made in a laboratory.”

The researchers said, “Our findings strongly suggest a synthetic origin of SARS-CoV2.” The even spacing of segments would occur by chance less than one in a million times.

We now know that slicing and dicing the Covid virus genome, a type of gain of function experiment, was actually proposed to the Department of Defense in a research grant request several years before the pandemic. The study was considered so dangerous that the grant was denied.

But did the dangerous work stop?

According to U.S. Right to Know, “American scientists misled Pentagon on research in Wuhan.”

However, nothing would have prevented the Chinese from finding funding elsewhere to do gain of function research which led to the creation of Covid-19, even without the Ecohealth grants provided by Dr. Fauci.

A lab leak from facilities in China that the State Department has called inadequate for the highest risk virus work seems most reasonable to many, when you hear hoofbeats think horses not zebras.

Summarizing the bioRXiv technical paper: doctors trained by the Chinese military cultured their own version of a corona virus, GX-P2V, that occurs in scaly Asian anteaters. A mutation occurred. We don’t know how the mutation occurred, spontaneous or lab induced? However, this new virus was given to mice with the same human receptors that the Covid virus uses to enter human cells.

Four mice were injected with the virus and four mice a placebo.

All the mice infected with the live virus died within 8 days of inoculation. First, they lost weight, on the seventh day they became sluggish and their eyes went white.

According to the study:

“In the mice infected with the live virus. . . .the viral RNA loads and viral titers in the brain samples were relatively low on day 3 but substantially increased by day six.” This finding suggested that severe brain infection during the later stages of infection may be the key cause of death in these mice,” the paper said.

Then the authors added, “To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report showing that a SARS-Cov-2 related pangolin coronvirus can cause 100% mortality in hACE2 mice, suggesting a risk for GX_P2V to spill over into humans.”

Dr. Robert Redfield, a virologist and former Director of the CDC warned on television, “It is especially disconcerting to consider that the Chinese military appears to be part of the research process in this case from their close vantage point at General Hospital in Beijing.” He calls for a full moratorium on this kind of gain of function research where viruses are manipulated to test their potential.

A recent report by the CCPBioThreats Initiative think tank asserts that China’s military is engaged in secret biological weapons development as part of Beijing’s asymmetric warfare strategy.

According to the Washington Times, “Report Reveals New Details of China’s Biological Weapons Programs, Bill Gertz, Washington Times, 1/24/24).

Iowa Republican U.S. Senator Joni Ernst mandated under the new defense authorization law signed by President Biden that the Pentagon Inspector General investigate the funding of risky virus research in China.

However, it isn’t just nation states doing this type of research that is dangerous. Once the genome of a deadly virus becomes known, bio-terrorists can make the virus in less safe labs.

Epidemiologist Francois Bailout at the University College London Genetics Institute worries about the lack of information on the bio-safety precautions taken by the scientists of this Chinese experiment.

According to Bailout, “I can see nothing of vague interest that could be learned from force-infecting a weird breed of humanized mice with a random virus. Conversely, I could see how such stuff might go wrong.”

If this newly engineered COVID-19 strain gets loose, how many millions will die as a result of a virus with no cure?

Remember all the dystopian warnings, the refrigerator trucks parked outside hospitals and the men of “science” using their authority to ruin businesses and lives?

Think of it returning with a vengeance.

“In a Wuhan-esque study, Chinese scientists are experimenting with a mutant COVID strain that is 100% lethal to “humanized” mice,” reported the New York Post.

Stanford Professor of Medicine Dr. Gennardi Glinsky (3) echoes my fears, “This madness must be stopped before it is too late.”

An enforceable world-wide moratorium must be placed on gain of function research creating new, dangerous viruses. Creating deadly organisms so that we can find ways to treat them is insanity.

Artificial intelligence provides us with the ability to create vaccines without first creating the killer pathogens.

A new pandemic created by a lab altered virus with such high fatality could threaten humanity. If that doesn’t also give you nightmares, what will?

      This from the New York Post: Thousands of vials of biological substances — including some labeled “HIV” — and a freezer marked “Ebola” were found inside a secret Chinese-owned biolab in California which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and FBI initially refused to investigate, according to a House committee report released Wednesday.

      The illegal lab was operated in the city of Reedley, Calif., and the potential public safety risk it posed only came to light in December 2022 when Jesalyn Harper, an observant code enforcement officer, noticed a green garden hose sticking out of a hole in the side of a warehouse that was thought to be vacant for more than a decade.

      Once inside, Harper discovered laboratory equipment, manufacturing devices, medical-grade freezers, lab mice and vials labeled in Mandarin, English and in a code that remains undeciphered.

      She also encountered several individuals in lab coats who identified themselves as Chinese nationals.

      1. When I was getting a MS in biology/virology before going to medical school I was allowed to ‘visit’ a govt biolab at IIT (under ground at 31st and State). There I observed research on viruses weaponized for war. One was HIV. At the time Castro troops were fomenting revolution in Africa. So we take the virus there found in apes and weaponize it. When Castro sent his troops for R and R after a time/term in Africa he sent them to Haiti. The US govt deliberately infected prostitutes there, both men and women. So the troops got infected, BUT at the time Haiti was a popular spot for US gays vacations so……….you get the picture. It came here!
        Read the book: ‘Operation Paperclip’ by Amy Jacobsen. ALL OF ARE WARFARE DEVELOPED AFTER WW ll was a result of Nazi scientists we brought here: biological, chemical, rockets, psychological, aviation, nuclear etc. ALL NAZI DESIGNED. In the book it details CIA testing biologically developed bacteria and viruses that were dump on various cities US citizens without our knowledge. She documents via FOIAed material. This was mostly during 1950s when we had a GOP president, ie Eisenhower. It continued during 60s but was about to stop becuz of JFK wanting to stop it but they bumped his ass off. It wasnt until Nixon signed law stopping all biological and chenmical warfare. AINT WE A GREAT COUNTRY.

    Our government and major news media has largely shielded and covered up this work as key parts used a terrible pandemic for political and personal gain.

  8. I never trusted Fauci from the beginning. He never wanted any experimentation on possible cures or relief drugs from the beginning. Why? Because his handlers wouldn’t allow it.
    A Chinese scientist in I believe Philly was researching the SARS stuff 3 weeks after it got heavy. He stated that he was making some extreme discoveries. He was assassinated shortly after that statement, and his assassin committed suicide. Coincidence? Doubtful.

The USA voters have to be the biggest bunch of chumbolones in history to have voted into the highest office a Chinese agent and his whole family. I think I’ll go back a re-watch the old and new versions of The Manchurian Candidate, and try to get to sleep!!! Although Joe wasn’t brainwashed – the American voters were!!! May we seek to return to sanity sometime soon…..

  10. The Wuhan Virus was released conveniently before the election got one purpose: to keep Trump from being reelected. Trump was so far ahead in the polls ( just like now). A landslide was predicted for his reelection ( just like now). Intelligence apparatus had been unleashed upon his campaign ( just like now) without any detrimental effect. History is now in the process of repeating itself. It also had the additional benefit of allowing the government unprecedented control over its citizens. Controls that have not been relinquished but have only intensified since. The Wuhan Virus was NEVER as deadly as it was purported be. China knew this and so did we. Since we now know it wasn’t deadly enough WE CAN NOW CORRECT THIS. A good read is “Pandemic 1918” by Catherine Arnold for first hand accounts of The Spanish Flu pandemic from those that survived.
    The accounts on the book are mesmerizing and you realize that THAT was a real pandemic. Covid was never as deadly as the Spanish Flu was. Strangely enough the book was published a few months before COVID was released upon the world. Thank you Doctor Ganske for the article. We all know something BIG is coming….

  11. I read about this latest research a couple of months back. It scared me then and this makes me worry even more. Pretty sure the Chinese Government would not think twice about unleashing another, more deadly virus upon the world. I fear, not for me but, for the children and grandchildren, that they will be harmed by not just the Chinese Government but by our own Government whose representatives care more about securing their power than they do those who vote them into power. And, for the most part, that is a completely non-partisan statement. However, I still believe that Feeble Joe and Dr. Death Fauci, brought this to us in retaliation of….you name it.

  13. When Trump tried to close the borders to arrivals from China he was labeled a xenophobic racist. Then the DNC lapdog media spent the next two years telling us on a daily basis how many Americans had died of covid. When Trump left office the number was 600,000 — all blamed on Trump — despite the lack of a vaccine, shortages of PPE and a medical community that was clueless on how to treat and stop the virus. Flash forward to now, when we’ve had vaccines for four years, plenty of PPE and doctors who are familiar with the symptoms and treatment of covid. Guess what the death toll is? 1,200,000 dead Americans. Meaning 600,000 have died under the CCP president who had all the advantages Trump never had. And the media? Crickets. They haven’t reported on covid deaths since Jan. 6, 2021.

    China does not have nor will it ever have any concern about this type of experimentation. Were outside funding to cease, the CCP would merely take funds from somewhere. For them it is in the national interest to do this experimentation. What the world thinks, China could care less.

    The other disconcerting item that has me worried is that if and when a new pandemic starts, many of us (myself included) will consider anything from CDC, WHO , NIAID or any other similar agency as hokum. We now know after much bluster from the likes of Fauci that their guidance was based on nothing but political policy; to look magisterial and sage. These clowns wasted a lot of good will with their BS and in the next go around we all may suffer as no one will believe them.

  15. With all due respect doctor you greatly misrepresent the paper:

    “To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report to analyze the cell-adapted mutations of pangolin coronavirus GX_P2V, and to show it can cause mortality in hACE2 mice. Our findings are evidently inconsistent with those of Zhengli Shi et al. (5), who tested the virulence of GX_P2V in two different hACE2 mouse models. It is very likely that the high pathogenicity of GX_P2V C7 in our hACE2 mice is due to the strong expression of hACE2 in the mouse brain. Under normal circumstances, both human and mouse brains exhibit low expression of ACE2 (6, 7). Furthermore, while the company has not yet published a paper detailing the construction and characterization of this hACE2 mouse model, we are notified that these hACE2 mice have abnormal physiology, as indicated by relatively reduced serum triglyceride, cholesterol, and lipase levels, compared to those of wild-type C57BL/6J mice. Thus, the outcomes from the mouse infections in this study have no correlation with human infections, and do not alter the fundamental nature of GX_P2V(short_3UTR) as being highly attenuated.”

    In other words these “humanized mice” are not in fact representative of humans because as the authors point out these mice have high expressions of ACE2 brain binding sites where as humans do not (nor do normal mice). And furthermore, the mice in this study had other atypical physiology also perhaps accounting for the results at odds with previous published research.

  16. Does anyone here really believe that we can find the research labs by following the money trail (grants)? Why would we ever partner with China on virology projects or any project for that matter?
    There are world leaders, countries, religions and scorned former lovers of liberty who want us DEAD.
    Back in the 60s, it was always “the government is going to drop LSD in the water systems”.
    In the 70s, we learned from Kent State that “hell, they’ll just shoot us”.
    In the 80s, they were going to hook us all on cocaine and disco.
    Since the 90s, we’ve been told that countries will blast killer satellites into space and at the appropriate time, will emit killer laser beams.
    And for the past 20-odd years, we have been inundated with threats of killer viruses that are released into the air to ride the air currents throughout the world.
    Anyone who has ever watched a James Bond movie or an episode of Mannix knows that you don’t create a poison without creating the antidote.
    “We have poisoned you, Mr. Mannix. You have 24 hours to find the briefcase or you won’t be given the antidote”.
    Talking about viruses and vaccines is pretty heady stuff. Many avoid talking about it, because we lack the intellect AND information that we believe that we can trust in order to make our assumptions.
    With COVID, I did everything in accordance with the advice of my personal physician. He, too, got the shots and he does his due diligence when dispensing his medical advice.
    But, it still leaves the burning question: is a vaccine supposed to protect you from GETTING a virus or is it to lessen the severity of viral symptoms to a manageable level?
    Imagine if we had used the same flow chart for POLIO that we saw with COVID.
    Dr. Jonas Salk doing his best Dr. Anthony Fauci impression: “Well, this vaccine will prevent you from getting polio. No, wait; it won’t prevent you from getting polio, but it will lessen the severity of your symptoms, so you could still get polio, but it will be a “better” version of polio. You will survive it, but with long term effects”.
    I won’t even pretend to know anything about COVID at a molecular level and men/women much smarter than me will have those conversations, but I know this: I question every, single day what was injected into me as “COVID vaccine”. I have never questioned the flu vaccine or pneumonia vaccine or any other shot, for that matter. It’s just the COVID vaccine and that’s because our science community and government failed us.
    Just remember this: it’s from a butter/margarine commercial from years ago…
    “It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature”.

    1. Well as a former “polio pioneer” I can actually answer some of your questions. Most vaccines do not produce “sterile immunity”: prevention of infection and disease. What they do do, is prevent severe disease. The perfect example of this was the Salk Polio Vaccine. It did not prevent polio virus infection. What it did do – and everyone including Salk knew this – it prevented the migration of the polio virus from the gut into the blood stream which was the necessary condition to cause paralytic poliomyelitis. So the Salk vaccine, while not preventing infection, did largely prevent paralysis – the most feared complication of polio infection. Now later on the Sabin live attenuated oral polio vaccine not only prevented paralysis but also largely prevented infection. However, when Polio was virtually eliminated in the US, it was found that the only cases of Polio reported were in fact due to the Sabin vaccine itself (vaccine associated poliomyelitis). That is why since 2000 the Sabin vaccine is no longer routinely used in the US.

      1. As a youngster, we were given a sugar cube infused with polio vaccine.
        Since I never got polio, I assumed that the vaccine prevented it.
        But the COVID vaccine…
