I agree. Especially for folks like me whose hearing is compromised as we get older. It is ironic that John – who has suffered some of the infirmities of old age – is so clueless in regard to something so obvious. Of course such an undertaking might prove costly. But at least John could explain why he can not or will not do this.
I second H Young’s request for a transcript. Just because I’m old and retired doesn’t mean I have time to listen to all those pearls of wisdom youse guys!!!

John: Time to stop the ambiguous responses for readers who ask for your posts to travel with transcripts. That way we can read or scan at our own pace, lingering over especially piquant comments and/or revisiting astute copy. Seniors and the screen impaired pay for content, too – so give it to us. Your friend Paul Vallas lost by a few thousand votes. Once for Governor, and once for Mayor. Highly educated, but very naive ultras liberal white people wanted to be enlightened and voted for charlatans instead.
The CTU, and Gates in particular, do not care about the children of Chicago. They ignore the poor climate in the schools. Those who scream racism and inequality are pushing said injustices and are enabled by stupid white elites who feel guilty that their families worked hard and provided for them, set them up to be successful.
If they cared about the kids, they’d demand safe neighborhoods, safe schools, and demand quality teaching and learning occur on a daily basis and have accountability for everyone.
I blame the black pols for most of the carnage right now. The control billions in state and local budgets and waste most of it. They tie the hands of police and also the teachers. They condemn black kids to horrible schools and chase out successful people.
Wealthy black folks won’t invest in the “community”. If they won’t help their own, who will?
The stores are all leaving the poor neighborhoods. They’re not racist. The only color they see is green, and they doing want to operate a charity for criminals.
….and it all continues because there is a group of entrepreneurs who have figured out that once a problem is ‘solved’ the flow of cash goes elsewhere. Why continue to fund something that is no longer a ‘problem’ when we have so many ‘other problems’…..so, you can be a fixer of the problem, or you can be a funnel through which the cash flows in order to “try” to fix the problem – with a little cut on the side for your trouble, of course. Take a good look at the programs in place, the zillions of dollars that fund those programs. Will the day EVER come when someone looks beyond the title of the organization or group that gets the money? Who ACTUALLY gets that cash, and what EXACTLY are they doing with it? NO ONE ever asks, and the information is just not there.
We know the problems – kids can’t read or do math; the streets aren’t safe; kids are hungry (kid problems “sell” better than adult problems); crime is high; drugs are rampant; fathers aren’t in the home; school buildings are crumbling (they’re mostly empty, but we sure do spend a lot of money on nearly empty buildings); health care is unevenly spread; food deserts…..and on and on the list for absorbing government money goes.
Just ask ONE question: when has any of this money been followed up by a forensic audit? If there’s been malfeasance, has anyone ever tried to claw back the money? Of course not! There’s more where that came from!!! and the names of the actual recipients of the money would read like a Chicago Who is Who list….color of skin notwithstanding. Not an iota of it will change until those who are actually the victims wake up and realize what’s being done to them, often by their own people. We can’t want it for them – they have to want it for themselves and decide to do something about it.

Yesterday the CEO of Target announced they were closing nine stores in Democrat Dystopias. It was hilarious to see Chicago media outlets breathlessly wait to see if Chicago made the cut. Or got cut. The best thing is the CEO didn’t mince any words. He didn’t blame Covid, Amazon or Chinese competitors. He stated it plainly and factually. Crime, theft and losses in the millions. Its impossible to operate a business with these figures in the constant red. Home Depot, Best Buy and other high end retailers are soon to exit high crime dystopian empires like Chicago. Yet people here will re elect the people who drive the exodus of business. You don’t have a place to buy food but you can still get an abortion here. Yes, criminals have rights too. I suggest you go to CWB and watch the pizza eating hipster getting rolled in Bucktown the other day. Local media cut the feed just in case you might actually be mortified enough to demand any action. It’s obvious it was the kids fault. Had he simply surrendered his property he wouldn’t have caused the justice deprived persons of color to hurt their hands with having to punch him to obtain the property needed to buy food. Leovy and Leovy are already preparing the lawsuit to be filed in lawsuit happy Cook County to obtain the usual sizable judgment from the city.l. also known the ghetto Powerball. The lawsuit industry is the only business thriving in the county. Don’t worry about not having anywhere to buy groceries though. Chicago is soon to open a city run, owned and operated store where you can loot, rob and run not far from where you live. We wouldn’t want you to hurt your back carrying your stolen goods too far now! Loevy and Loevy might file a lawsuit. Maybe they can file a lawsuit to force Target to reopen….

I read the article in the WSJ about Target moving out of Democrat cities.
When did they decide this- before or after the LBGQT+ disaster with children’s specialty “trans” clothing? I for one will never set foot in Target again. They can close them all as far as I am concerned.
Haven’t been to Subway, since their spokes’person’ who openly hates America, was used to push their sandwiches.
Don’t get me started on the foreign company that now owns Budweiser.
