The Chicago Way w/John Kass: On the hunt for politicization in U.S. intelligence
Chicago Way w/John Kass (04/20/26): Nicholas S. Kass joins John Kass & Jeff Carlin to talk about his latest piece, Keep the Kurds Out of the Iran War, in the American Conservative. Nick is John’s younger brother and served in the U.S. government for over 30 years at the White House/National Security Council, State Department, CIA, & until January of this year, was the acting chairman of the National Intelligence Council in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

Seemingly fitting the description of the always dour Kass commentor Thomas Rudd as “above the comprehension of most of this readership here,” I must admit I started to read the April 16 column by Nick on the same subject but gave up halfway to return another time which I never did. Thanks for the oral “Cliff Notes” version!
On a related but different topic, for those who want to experience and engage the horrific past of the near east region, visit the Montrose Cemetery at 5400 N. Pulaski Ave, across from the Bohemian Cemetery where there are the huge Armenian Genocide Memorial dedicated to the Armenian, Assyrian, and Greek victims of the Ottoman Empire, as well as the Assyrian Martyrs Memorial and the Assyrian Village Monuments. By the way, Tokyo Rose is buried down the road.
Always a pleasure to read Nick Kass thoughts
