Don’t you just love Democrats suddenly turning nice and decent? It’s like watching a feral animal flash a smile.
Of course, this sudden shift toward “let’s play nice” is easily understood by any brain not turned to mush by viewing Morning Joe or The View or by reading The New York Times or Pravda (both are still publishing). The hateful passions of current Democrat politics suddenly turned into fatal attraction on July 13. The party that has jumbled feelings about its jumbled president quickly tried to sort it all out.
Oh, somebody took a shot at Trump? Did that have anything to do with our declaring him an existential threat to democracy? Were our casual comparisons to Hitler a little over the top? Maybe we shouldn’t have pushed that 34-felony conviction in New York . . . where a jury of progressive citizens could convict a Republican of Aiding And Abetting Private Enterprise?
Democrats already faced a steep challenge in having mainly disasters to run on. Their open borders policy, though successful at importing ten million or more prospective indentured Democrat voters, has also imported fiscal and civic damage to their once-sanctimonious “sanctuary cities.” Their Drunken-Sailor Spending Act (my name, their policy) was a boon only to people devoted to sitting on their expanding rear ends and adjusting their masks. Their crusading billionaire commissar George Soros funded the election of loonie-left District Attorneys in Democrat cities with already rampant crime, his DAs devoted to providing repeat criminals get-out-of-jail-free cards.
So far, so bad.
But the Democrats retain two enormous assets, one group that has lots of money and one that has little. Today’s Democrat Party is the party of plutocracy. It caters quietly to rich people who want to keep getting richer while craving admiration as kindly liberals, also noisily to people dependent on government, including all current needy voters and others they are determined to make voting-eligible soon.
California is America’s capital of plutocracy and always a sure thing for 54 Democrat electoral votes. It’s ruled by a handsome dimwit who as 2004-2011 mayor of San Francisco oversaw that once-beautiful city’s decay and as governor since 2019 continues to oversee California’s fiscal and social ruination. In fact, he could be the Democrats’ empty-suit candidate as early as this November.
But in accounting for the slightly eroding value of identity politics, the decreasing leverage of policies that buy votes through initiatives like forgiving student loans for prosperous free-riders, and the disappearing short-term value of Drunken Sailor Spending, Democrats face a problem. After pushing nothing principled or productive, they needed to come up with some campaign cry for 2024, something to rouse the troops of once-faithful voters who sense that America is declining as dramatically as its current president is.
Democrats couldn’t keep denying that their policy on America’s southern border is “C’mon in, everyone!” or that it isn’t damaging American citizens through fentanyl, crime and entitlement costs.
They couldn’t keep pretending that Biden’s Drunken Sailor Spending is helping Americans financially, not when a bag of potato chips costs $6.
They couldn’t keep ignoring the costs of returning violent criminals to the streets. Too many carefree repeat criminals keep taking shots at terrified people.
And they couldn’t keep pretending that Joe Biden is the real functioning president, capable of processing information, making informed decisions, and speaking coherently. This problem has grown worse in the two years since a bewildered Biden was steered back into hiding by an aide in an Easter Bunny costume. It’s at red alert now with his protector being Jill Biden, who has succeeded Hillary Clinton as America’s Miss Uncongeniality.
So, what did Democrats come up with for a 2024 campaign cry? It was constant, shrill — and finally as boring as it was phony. As everyone knows, the key points were “democracy” and “Hitler.” As political argument, that stuff is sufficiently lunatic to have emerged from a forensic hospital, but there is one way to make sense of it. Read up on what psychologists call “projection.”
They kept shrieking their campaign cry about Trump . . . up until July 13, when it got stuck in their throats.
Democrats will probably gin up some show decency over the next week or two. Take it with a block of salt. Long years and tedious advocacy journalism have been required for the Democrat message to become honest as Jussie Smollett, transparent as the people telling Biden what his policies are, devoted to America as The Squad, and decent as a 42nd Street three card monte player.
Don’t play the Democrats’ “Hitler” game and compare our Joe to Russia’s Joe. The relevant name to recall is closer to home and more recent: Hugo Chávez. He ascended to leadership of Venezuela, which then had the second strongest economy in the Western Hemisphere but was soon destroyed by the progressive socialism he and then-admirers in American demand. Venezuelans progressed to eating household pets.
Not very decent, but there might be a campaign theme in there somewhere.

What choice do the Democrats have? The Democrats are morally bankrupt. They have no positive proposals. Just the same old stuff. The freedom to kill their own offspring, spend like there is no tomorrow, tax everything, make drugs legal and profitable through taxes to buy more votes, forgive student loanx and stiff taxpayers (chumps), and stand for nothing but negativism. The Democrats deal only in negatives and never-never land promises. They do not a have single proposal to reduce the deficit, make the streets safe again, end giveaways, and so on.
But the Ds have the mainstream media primary debates moderators.
They deliberately gave Trump most air time in 2016 because “his personality is so bad, no one will vote for him, and we can ensure a Hillary win.”
The US media cares not one iota for candidate competence to do the job. It’s all a freak show to draw eyeballs and advertiser $ for the media. Citizens lose.
Not sure what is more disappointing.
That the mainstream media is so obviously biased. After all, it is an amoral entertainment business; no concern for the health of America.
Or that the leftists are so clueless about the horrific results of the Biden administration versus the previously successful results of the Trump administration.

It does say a lot that there is anyone who could even challenge her for that distinction. But if there is it’s Jill.
I think so, too. But, in that category, there should be a 1st runner-up, also; who, (“in the event that #1 is unable to perform her duties as Miss Uncongeniality, etc……..”)

What really amazes me is the support Biden still has. Ask any Bidenite to give you just ONE accomplishment that’s helped our country and they say”he’s better than Trump”. After watching the Republican convention I’m more hopeful of a shift in our country. The moral decay of the democrats is beyond repair.

I saw a poll this morning that shows 52% of independent voters hold the democrats responsible for misleading American people about the state of Biden’s mental capabilities. “Who ya gonna believe? Me or your lying eyes?” should work quite in this campaign.

That means 48% don’t have a clue, and the majority must believe there is nothing wrong with the guy.
More likely their abject hatred of DJT requires them to buy in to whatever alternative is available, regardless. Those people cannot be reasoned with – they’re “baked into the cake”, as the phrase goes nowadays…

The independent minded voters have had their eyes opened: It is not just brain-dead Biden that must be stopped. Democrats don’t have the world by the tail here- they have excrement instead.

I’ve been predicting something big is going to happen before the election and we’re seeing the dry run this morning. Global Tech disruption? Check. Massive airline disruptions. Check. Retail establishments crippled? Check. ACROSS THE ENTIRE WORLD? CHECK. Psy-ops operations in motion via mass media and social media to reassure us this is no globalist or terrorist plot, information repeated ad nauseam until it is accepted as the truth. This is only a dry run today. They’re fine tuning it even as you read this. This is just a dress rehearsel. Something bigger is coming. Funny how the last virus that was spread this quickly worldwide was Covid. Just before the National Elections. They were willing to destroy the global economy. Destroy our borders. Organize a government coup to disrupt our elections and keep Trump from getting reelected. The failed assassination last week means they’re going to Plan B. We are seeing the events today as a rehearsal now that they’re really, really getting DESPERATE .

How about LESS? Less government, less taxes, less illegal immigrants, less deficit, less student loan forgiveness, less spending, less leftist’s media moguls running the country. And MORE. More for the people instead of the elites, more respect for those who actually pay the bills, more law enforcement with teeth, more jail terms for political crooks, more making the guilty of political crimes forfeit their ill-gotten gains and cushy benefits. It is all in the voter’s power. GET OUT AND VOTE.

Welp, the ‘Rat “decency” didn’t last very long. My suspicion is that it lasted as long as it did because the ‘Rats feared actual return fire. Now they’re just grumbling that the guy missed and that Trump had it coming and brought it all on himself.

The only change the rabid, intolerant, authoritarian left has made was to temporarily turn their anger on Biden to oust him in yet another move against American democracy by the UN-American progressive left.
Just by being Joe, he has turned himself from an asset to a liability. Remember what his boss Obama said, “there is nothing that Joe can’t screw up” (Somewhat edited for decency). How the worm turns. Now Joe is screwing up Obama’s master plan part 2. The irony is probably beyond Obama.
Great Column! I was in Milwaukee last night, it was magical. Mader’s at the bar, the best Wienerschniztel going. A young Hasidic Jew next to me praying, as Donald Trump spoke, and a just as young MAGA kid to my right. We got along swimmingly, as Mr. Trump rambled on into story telling and gradually became background music to the spirited conversation at the bar.

Hmmmm….🤔 That would be equivalent to Weight Watcher Whoopi – except there’s a greater chance of Whoopi Goldberg slimming down to a size 5 than there is of the Bolsheviks ever seeing the light of day and reform themselves into something resembling a decent middle of the road center left party! I am not at all reluctant to say I hate democrats in whatever “decent” package they try to gaslight us with!

Trump nailed it last night when he asked, “What’s wrong with making America great again? Who could be against that?” The commiecrats need to answer those two questions. I think their response will be “death to America.”
Now that the cognitive state of our President is out in the open for all to see, I wonder if we will ever find out who has actually been running the country for the past several years. Who in the White House has been pulling the levers of power, telling Joe Biden what to say, what to do, what to vote for, what to veto, what to endorse, etc.

Trump messed up badly (predictably) by doing a great beginning in his speech, but then launching into a 93 minute screed that just fed his detractors even further.

I’m old enough to have voted for president since 1968, and normally (except Reagan) have voted for the lesser of two evils. In this case, I’ll vote again for Don, but I really have to hold my nose to do so.
