Ireland’s New Patriot

My mom didn’t think that, but I do owe the gift of my Irish citizenship to my mother, Sissy Cusack. Her father was Dennis Cusack, born in Mt. Collins, Abbey Feale, County Limerick, Ireland, and I was granted an Irish passport because of him. I am an Irish citizen.

I am most proud of THAT. It’s why I devoted my career to Irish culture and founded Hibernian Media NFP in 2013.

In 1977 I played Captain Brennan in Sean O’Casey’s epic play THE PLOUGH AND THE STARS with The Syracuse Stage Theatre company.

My knowledge of Irish history at the time was limited to “The Quiet Man” and Clancy Brothers albums that my older brothers played continuously throughout the sixties.

Brennan was a Dublin chicken butcher and Captain in the Irish Citizen Army, a zealot with fervent dreams of patriotism during the Easter uprising of 1916. I poured myself into the part and consumed research of the rebellion in songs and stories. It didn’t hurt when I learned the significance of Cathleen ni Houlihan in Irish history.

I was blessed then to live in the world of O’Casey’s genius for eight shows a week as he weaved his story of the people in a 1916 Dublin tenement courageously dealing with the tragic events of Easter week.

That experience led into my life-long search for my Hibernian heritage. We’ve been blessed indeed with Irish blood, and let’s never forget that a lot of Irish blood was spilled fighting for the freedom of this island nation under British occupation.

I’ve traveled to Ireland annually over the last 15 years but last year just couldn’t do it. The culture of Ireland has changed. Their leaders have turned their backs on Catholicism and embraced abortion, and other far left ideologies. Many of the Irish leaders are weaklings. Former Taoiseach Leo Varadkar was married to a man for feck’s sake!

Are these the men leading our once great nation? They’ve embraced globalism and European Union politics and betrayed the people of Eire by encouraging mass Muslim immigration into the old sod. Irish people will soon be a minority in their own country.

With all this swirling around my noggin I recently discovered our Irish messiah.

I was driving my lovely wife Mary to church and my phone rang. Now I got hundreds of so-called bankers callin’ me who wanna loan me money at 37% interest, fer feck’s sake! So, I’m driving into the church parking lot, and I answer the phone and this guy sez, “Is that you Mike?” I’m thinkin’ here we go again, and I snarl, “Yeah, who’s dis?

And your man sez, “This is Peadar Toibin!”

Holy shnikies! The man himself!

Peadar’s cousin, John McCormack, had called me the night before to tell of Peadar’s trip to the East coast to build support for his Irish political party Aontu in the US. I tell Peadar, “Big fan of yours, we will start beating the drum here and with friends in NYC!”

And we did, my pal Sean Ginnelly at Global Irish Radio put Peadar on the Irish radio in Gotham and the Irish Echo did a big spread on Peadar in our paper. Peadar Tóibín is the savior Ireland needs right now to save the country from the commies.

Google him! There’s plenty of info and he’s making his move right now. Peadar Tóibín is an Irish TD, originally elected as a Sinn Fein candidate but was kicked out of the party because of his opposition to abortion. On Nov. 15th, 2018, Tóibín announced his resignation from Sinn Fein. On Jan. 28, 2019, he announced that the name of his new political party would be Aontu, Irish for “unity” or “agreement”. At the 2020 general election Tóibín retained his seat in Meath West.

Peadar Tóibín is now fighting for a United Ireland. That’s courage! And it’s in short supply lately.

He’s the hardest working politician in Ireland. Peadar is 51, the youngest of six, from Navan, County Meath. He’s married with four kids. He’s also an ardent supporter of maintaining the Irish language. His kids speak fluent Irish, his family, his mom, and siblings. His dog responds to Gaelic commands!

Peadar is a fighter, a clear and concise communicator who excels at debate, throwing heat on a variety of issues. He’s fighting for Irish unity, applying pressure on Irish leaders, North and South, as well as the Brits, for justice for Ireland, for Bloody Sunday and crimes committed against Ireland by Great Britain. He’s on his feet every day in the Dail challenging the status quo and questioning the globalists who are selling the country out with mass migration, screwing the farming community, gender ideology, and insane EU compliance. His party Aontú stands for Life – Unity – Economic Justice.

Ireland is a one scalding hot mess, thanks to Marxist NGO’s fueling the universities and the EU bought off gobshites in the Dail and elsewhere; not to mention the celebrity clowns in the film and music industries.

  4. Disappointing to see the Bloody Sunday reference decades latter.
    No doubt there were issues on both sides but you now have a British Government second guessing the actions of troops put into an impossible situation.

    They were dealing with civilian terrorists who used women and children as shields – does it get more cowardly?

    I worked with a guy once who had a huge tattoo on his arm that said “26+6=1”. Another Cop standing there with us asked him what it meant and he mumbled that it was “something Gaelic”. Being the nice guy that I am, I waited until he and I were alone and I informed the ignoramus that it meant if the 6 Counties in Northern Ireland were to join the 26 Counties in Irish Republic it would mean One United Ireland.

    While driving through Belfast and other towns in Northern Ireland years later it was very strange to see British Troops carrying machine guns and British flags all over the place. It is my understanding that the British subsidies are the biggest reason that the unification hasn’t occurred. I wish Peadar Tóibín the best in his efforts.

    Watching what Britain is going through now, after their unchecked migration, is sad to see, but sometimes you have to be careful what you ask for, as you are likely to get it. Great job, my Friend.

  6. Is the unification a dream for a united Islamic Irish republic. Like you Houli, I have cancelled any plans to visit Ireland in the near and far future and at 75 years old time is running out though I hope not too soon.
    Me ma is buried in Louisburg County Mayo and my dear cousins reside in Galway and Tuam and I wonder what ever happened to the “Bold Fenian Men Down by the Glenside?” Near a thousand years of foreign domination and the current feckless, woke, and sackless Irish leaders are destroying a beautiful ancient culture and island…I’ll not contribute any of my shekels to their downfall.

He’s young, and in the future, I expect him to develop as a world class statesman and leader.

  10. Real Irish go to Mass and receive Communion EVERYDAY, NO MATTER WHAT. I learned that from my inlaws. Every day at 6am, including when they both worked. Many talk about being Irish but their actions say otherwise. True Irish are proud practicing Catholics.

    And why 2 citizenships? Your either 100% American or your not.

    1. Agree with you Thomas. That struck me as well. Congress should pass a law: one citizenship. US citizenship should preclude being a citizen of another country. Make a damn choice. Period. End of story.

      1. Do you mean that for Americans who serve in the IDF as well? I’m sure our friends in. AIPAC would beg to differ. Congress would never pass such a law because Jewish lobby would oppose them like they did with Massie.

        1. Absolutely. ALL Americans. You can be an American and lobby your representatives as per the US Constitution to support Israel. But you have to choose: US Citizenship or Israeli (although now like Houli one can have dual citizenship). I frankly really don’t care what the AIPAC’s position is on this issue. The only point of which I disagree with you is that Congress will likely not pass a law despite the current proposal by Sen Moreno (Exclusive Citizenship Act, 2025) not because of the AIPAC but because of the “globalist” orientation of the Democratic Party and the belief that the Supreme Court decision in Afroyim v. Rusk, 1967 precludes doing so.

  12. I respectively disagree with folks who won’t visit their homeland simply because it is changing and may not be going very well politically. I believe we must maintain interaction and help and encourage as best we can. Doing otherwise only plays into the hands of those who intend to enslave us based on perverted religious or ideological reasons.

  14. Despite my last name, I am part Irish, if one can be so. I’m fair at drinking and Guiness is my favorite beer, but I don’t know much about Ireland, too many generations removed. However, I find it interesting, that when the Catholics and Protestant learned to stop killing each other and the British, Ireland rapidly became very prosperous. But that prosperity seems to have come with a price. They’ve embraced immigration and globalism and in turn are losing their ancient historical identity.

    Anyways, I thought the movie Belfast, which is about how Irish violence in the 60’s forced actor Kenneth Branagh’s family to leave, was excellent.

  15. Americans should not have dual citizenship, period!

    Any aspersions you cast on the Democrats are indeed correct. I do not vote for them, any of them. They are corporatists, who sell policy to the highest bidder. The globalist allegation is however funded and encouraged by think tanks and NGO’s funded by oligarchs. The ones we read about and those who, smartly, I may add, remain silent.

    AIPAC is but one lobby that owns this nation, along with all the others. Our Congress takes money and then lets them poison us. Our politicians pledge their fealty, shovel our money there, and now are putting troops in harms way.

    If my oligarch does it, it’s okay! My oligarch is better than yours. My team is better than yours. You don’t see the scam yet. With the government for sale, and the powers that be using our own money to fund wars and endanger us. It’s all a game of three card monti, and even the most vaunted conservative Christian institutions are for sale. You pay them enough you can do anything you want.

  16. We need a new political party, or parties. This sclerotic, atrophied system we have where if you’re a public official, you get pinched for taking an envelope for a permit, but you can take millions and cast votes that end up with folks being ripped off, poisoned, sick, even dead, and our own fellow citizens will rise to the defense of it!

    You just need the right combination of deceit. Spread enough cash around, put a trans, or an Arab, a black face perhaps on it, and you can sell it to the white boomers. It’s not their fault though.

    You know mind control works. The same mind control they do in the Muslim world where they write their textbooks preaching the everlasting of the Zionists and make martyrs of those who kill innocents.

    They take it a step further here though. Our own FBI infiltrates organizations and groups, encourages criminal activity and entraps people. Also, they are in the crowd, like on Jan 6th, riling up people to assault the skeleton crew of cops who were left out to dry by Pelosi and Dem leaders as they wanted something to happen.

    BLM was a great con. Not only did the “leaders” enrich themselves, liberals were able to exercise policy control from it, and stupid Karen’s were able to feel superior, but it was all a scam. BLM is a dog whistle for conservative leaders, used to whip up support for gutting any social spending while borrowing and spending overseas or on bombs to kill people.

    All non profits should have to reapply for tax exempt status, and only a fraction should even have them. This is merely a tax evasion scam. We saw that with the Trump foundation, but most oligarchs have them and avoid billions in taxes through them.

    Houli has Irish citizenship. They’ve been overrun by immigrants, even though the people do not want it. Ditto France, England. Globalists? Their own leaders took money to look the other way, just as they’ve done here. And the ones who decry it through most, Trump, hire them, and have sex with them, while vilifying them publicly.

    It’s all a game. Left, Right, Center, Christian, Muslim, Jew, they are all on the take and are scamming us. Taking our money right out of our pockets while we argue with each other.

For decades Americans stopped believing in the Great Melting Pot themselves once Immigration opened its doors to F1-B visas starting in the 1980’s, allowing 100s of thousands into this country every year and their families thru chain migration? The Dems and the corporations started selling off this country to foreigners. And the only object of the Dems is to be in power to protect their ill earned riches. What happened to “E Pluribus Unum’? You see it only in the currency. Temples and Mosques springing up everywhere that you lose count.
    If a Pakistani became a Mayor of London and a part Hindu Varadkar became the PM of Ireland, a Hindu-Muslim Mamdani had become the Mayor of New York, the financial capital of the world! In short, the Dems literally had become a party/nation of minorities that this country could be renamed “United Nations of America” and it will be only a matter of time before the minorities take total control of the party and the nation and the Americans will soon be a minority in their own country.
