Walz: “I’m a knucklehead”—Indeed you are, governor!!

By John Kass

October 4, 2024

As Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz walked into the CBS studio for their one and only debate, Americans knew one thing for certain:

The world is on fire. Democrats lit the match. And sound American leadership is required if the United States is to survive.

Americans tuned into that debate to determine which political party could show it was ready to lead in crisis, and to measure for themselves the judgement of presidential candidates Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Former President Donald Trump. As the two men walked into the studio, Iran had just fired more than 180 ballistic missiles at Israel, with most of them stopped by the Iron Dome.

Days and days after Hurricane Helene savaged victims in North Carolina who were still without power and drinkable water, the people there were still waiting for the unprepared Biden-Harris administration to reach them with aid.

There is a military airbase with heavy helicopters nearby at Fort Liberty, N.C. to reach areas where roads have been ruined, but where was the Secretary of Transportation, the smarmy and unctuous Mayor Pete? Where was Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas? The death count increases by the day.

Mayorkas was telling the survivors of Hurricane Helene the federal government had run out of money. The feds passed out trillions for the illegals, for benefits and hotels and goodies, but now nothing for native born American citizens who pay their taxes and follow the rules and need their government’s help. Think on that. They haven’t seen FEMA, they aren’t getting help. All they get is the Democrat Party’s back of the hand. And the corporate media isn’t spreading the true story. They’re covering it all up to protect the Democrats.

And unctuous Mayor Pete issued an order to stop drones from flying over storm damaged western North Carolina, to stop the people there from seeing FEMA do nothing. What’s even worse is that the Harris-Biden administration is thwarting private rescue missions.  Most of the work feeding the people is being done by volunteers, not the Biden-Harris feds. Why? Did the victims vote the wrong way in the past?

All that was in play when Walz and J.D. Vance shook hands Tuesday night.

Even by charitable standards, Walz was out of his depth. He was a disaster.

If you took a large pink ham and scored a line through it crosswise, and left it there to sit, confused and incapable of thought, rather pinkish and embarrassed, blushing and overwhelmed, that was Tim Walz.

Yes, I know he’s a hard leftist Democrat who let Minneapolis burn, not some pink ham. But that’s what he reminded me of.

Especially when Walz was asked about misleading people and blatantly lying that he was in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square massacre in China. He said he  “misspoke.” He did not. He lied repeatedly and lied some more. He is a liar.

Walz said he can “get caught up in rhetoric” and that “I’ve tried to do the best I can, but I’ve not been perfect. And I’m a knucklehead at times.”

A knucklehead? Stick cloves into him, and pour over some Boars’ Head ham glaze, perhaps some marmalade.

He knew that of his many, many lies, that lie of his about being in Hong Kong during China’s Tiananmen Square massacre of Chinese students would come up.

The story was percolating throughout leftist media. It was bound to be asked. It was. And he failed.

The CBS witches were so angry they tried to shut off J.D. Vance’s microphone, as if they were Chicago Mayor Johnson suffering another panic attack. But that failed too.

Kamala Harris had one job to do: show she could select a running mate who could lead if need be. Harris failed miserably.

Walz was a joke.

Harris’ first job since the coup that took old Joe out was to vet, then select a vice presidential candidate. She failed abysmally and it showed.

“Can you imagine Walz succeeding to the presidency?” texted a lifelong Chicago Democrat during the debate. “That is scarier than a President Harris. Is that possible?

Yes, that’s possible. God help us.

I thought the United States could not survive a senile crook like China Joe Biden. If Waltz were forced to lead the country after a “President Harris,” then I have no doubt that China would invade. And many of the bi-partisan Combine would rush to kneel, Charles Schumer and Mitch McConnell would lead them to crawl on their bellies. Not you. You wouldn’t do that. You have common sense.

Common sense enough to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Vance dominated the debate. A writer debate for The Federalist speculated that left wing media outlets like CBS would keep him off their air forever.

“It’s safe to assume we’re never going to see J.D. Vance on live television again,” wrote D.C. columnist Eddie Scarry, “least not until after the election is over.”

The reason why the vice-presidential debate was important is simple:

There have been two assassination attempts on President Donald J. Trump. The U.S. Secret Service, under the Department of Homeland Security (Mayorkas), is a fetid woke DEI mess. And Trump is almost 78 years old. A vice president has to be ready at a moment’s notice.

Vance looked the part.

Walz did not.

Even the leftist news panelists on leftist CNN knew it.

Vance Jones and David Axelrod looked as if they were about to cry. Perhaps they were mourning all the work the hard left had put in demonizing J.D. Vance.

We have no president now, and our enemies are preparing to strike.

Harris and the Democrats finally made their way Thursday to politically critical Appalachian states hoping to change the subject from Walz’ debate disaster and to Harris talking of selflessness by first-responders. But all I could hear was Americans spitting rage at Harris, Biden and Mayorkas, telling them where they could stick that $750 check.

At least we know one thing about the debate: Sen. J.D. Vance’s debate performance against the ham was his first debate of his 2028 presidential campaign. It was so good that the Republican neo-con witch Nikki Haley went on the attack, releasing her inner green-eyed demon of jealously, saying that the MAGA movement was beginning to “fringe out.”

I don’t think so Nikki. And J.D. Vance doesn’t think so either.

Why is this creep not in a stock and pillory, let alone drawing a thick paycheck? The Romans knew what to do with such a clown- hook through the jaw and a public tour.

    1. As Trump pointed out, “Nobody ever gets fired in the Biden administration.” Our glorious “representatives” wouldn’t even impeach that moron Mayorkas. What a pathetic joke this country has become.

      1. The House of Representatives did impeach Mayorakas. Chuck “U” Shumer along with our glorious Dick Durbin and the likes of Pochahantas buried the charges in the senate garbage can instead of proceeding with the required trial. Something about the democrats favorite line, Democracy Dies in Darkness of the Democrats Senate.

  2. Walz stolen honor, knucklehead, and yet another series of Hilariess ” I mis-spoke”. Dems had to rename ‘I lied”, just like every other name they attempt to put lipstick on a pig. “Reproductive Healthcare” and “Environmental Social Governance”, who they crappin? Only commies or saps fall for these conversions, or should I say perversions.

  3. “his first debate of his 2028 presidential campaign.”
JD is the future of the Republican Party and like in Trumps Apprentice show he picked the best guy for the job. As Kamala and Liz Cheney were in Ripon WI yesterday, the birthplace on the Republican Party, that little white school house that has moved at least four times, sits outside of historic downtown on a street that looks like any town USA with a bank, Walmart, and car dealership and its currently run by the Chamber of Commerce, but its moved again. Not physically, but back to the historical roots of the founding principles of our Constitution that all men are created equal and have the freedom of speech. The Chamber, neocons, censors, Liz, and Dick are out and good riddance. You should visit Ripon and go to a bar in the historic downtown called The Public House, they have Guinness on tap, and you can feel the presence of the people that stood up for freedom before just like we are now. Trump may not win in Nov. but the future looks bright with a smart kid with Appalachia roots and common sense. John thanks for all your hard work and Happy Friday everyone.

    1. Phillip,
Sadly I agree that Trump may not win in Nov. and the future may be bright with Vance, but I don’t know if our country can survive another 4 years of this crap.

  4. J.D. Vance vs. The Ham – an instant Kass classic!

I take solace, John, in the incident I just shared with you when I called in this morning to 560’s The Morning Answer that you’re sub-hosting with Dan today. Last week, while walking precincts in Beloit, WI for Rep. Bryan Stiehl, Senate candidate Eric Hovde and President Trump, a man working in his garage (Mr. O’Tolle) saw me coming up his driveway with campaign literature and blurted out unprompted “I’m voting for law and order.” I’m praying there are many more millions just like him who have had enough! 🙏🇺🇸

  5. Frequently I am reluctant to watch these “debates” with the obviously one-sided moderators. But once the speakers began to present their cases, I knew this one was going to be a pleasure. JD refused to become ruffled by the moderators’ attempts to trip him up with questions designed to do so. Tim’s questions were soft balls to allow him to recite his talking points. The moderators had to resort to turning off JD’s mic to stop the bleeding. Anyone watching that performance has to realize that JD could be president if called upon. No knucklehead must be allowed to get that close to power!

  6. Trump was a neophyte in 2016, but now he and any sensible person knows where the bodies are buried. Incompetence at every level starting with Biden and Harris. It also includes the clown show of a cabinet. Mayor Pete (Howdy Doody) and Mayorkas, a laughably trans HHS secretary and others. I felt Vance handled the debate so well and fact checked the sycophant moderators. I’m a knucklehead certainly did not impress our enemies. Last night CBS interviewed the DOJ Deputy AG in charge of election fraud. He stated Putin wants Donald elected. I have ZERO confidence in that. Putin is more likely to want the clown show to continue. We can only hope that the lack of action and preplanning (Biden on the beach=Nero fiddling) will resonate with the rest of the US, but the lapdog media will cover for the admin.

  7. Great column JK, great commentary by your readers.

$750.00 For American citizens over what’s given to the to the new illegal arrivals.

Charity begins at home, not to non citizens or governments of foreign countries.

Notice how the delivery of supplies was stopped when Biden arrived, air space closed for thirty miles, stopping the delivery of needed supplies by helicopters.

  8. Check FEMA website: on 10/3/24 FEMA announced $20 million sent with 5000 personal coming to area.
Walz is a stupid joke. His facial expressions make him look like he’s expecting a spanking. Maybe given to him by BF Pete?!

  9. I’m no fan of Kamala Harris, but she should have picked Josh Shapiro. But she couldn’t. Why? Well, she is so insecure that she didn’t want anyone to outshine her and the anti Jewish faction of her party wouldn’t have it. Thank God for her poor judgment.

  10. American voters swallowed whole the ‘Hopium” to “Change” our government in 2008, and the “Sensible Moderate” basement campaign of 2020.
The Marxist leopard has been loose for 4 years, and I continue to believe enough voters still sense that danger, and clearly see the spots.

  11. Let’s see, in the last 10 days we’ve had an horrendous hurricane that devastated areas not normally susceptible to hurricanes, a weak response from the govt, a major [economy disrupting] longshoreman’s strike that ended in two days, a new/old Trump indictment released, and Israel’s response to attack still pending. Twentynine days to go, the rollercoaster continues. What further surprises are in store???????

The good news is that it’s trending Trump. The depressing bad news is that while the GOP has some depth at the national level there’s no real bench behind the [mostly] geriatrics running the Democrats. At the congressional level: GOP likely to [barely] take the Senate, the House????? The media hopeless corrupt and complicit with the Dems, Academia far left and collapsing. This country has a lot of ruin in it, but not an infinite amount. We could endure a Harris Presidency, but not two terms.

  12. Knucklehead? So was Curly of the Three Stooges, but that was just an act. This knucklehead is the real deal, just like “Big Johnson.
As for FEMA, how can the MSM Propaganda Machine defend those morons?
Great one again, John. Thank you.

  13. Now John, let us not judge too harshly lest we be judged ourselves. Walz had to defend attacks against policies he doesn’t even know himself. He was not comfortable in front of cameras unlike Vance who has shamelessly paraded himself to friendly media outlets like CNN and MSNBC. Walz has been engaging in campaign rallies which he enthusiastically waves his arms and yells into microphones surely leading to his fatigue. Let’s be honest, Vance is lucky Walz didn’t drop the bombshell that Bidens Fema was about to drop a big fat 750.00$ check into the laps of Hurricane Helene survivors. Vance would have crumbled but mercifully Tim let him off the hook. For a family of four that’s a pretty big windfall. You could do a lot with a haul like that. That 3 grand can buy loads of firewood to cook on. Groceries? Since there are no stores left standing I’m sure Amazon will take up the slack. Let’s pray that our new migrants in the stricken areas are taken care of since their hotels, the only homes they’ve ever known in this country, are now leveled. This only points out how we need to prioritize our response our most vulnerable citizens and voters. All of them. Even the new ones. ALL OF THEM.

  14. Yianni,
Thankyou for your illuminating post on the catastrophe known as America. Our allies laugh at our choice of “leaders,” while our adversaries plot their devious plans to either invade, bomb us, or simply create a credible coup with which to enslave us all – while China Joe and Kackling Kamala sleep. And as for the FEMA disaster – think about this – my opinion is that it’s just another ploy with which to keep voters disenfranchised until after the election so they can’t vote for Trump. There’s just no place to set up voting booths or methods to distribute ballots. So many on the rolls may have parished, and there’s still no effort to find them by the socialist FEMA heads. But FEMA distributed billions to illegals so they’d vote for the dems! We Greeks have a saying – “the fish smells from the head!” Look at the leader – and so goes the country or business. We are doomed unless things change….soon! Theos Filaxi!

  15. Just when you think it can’t get any worse: Joe B >>> Kamala >>> Tampoon Tim. And who’s warming up in the Dem bullpen to enter the national game? Rashida? Ilhan? AOC? Vance in 2028 will be too late. These are the two biggest “Threats to Democracy” (and in no particular order): a) the lying, conniving, gaslighting press; and b) the lack of term limits at the federal level.

  16. Ideocracy. Remember that movie?
Obama, a smart man picks a dumb VP, impeachment insurance.
Biden, a dumb guy, must find someone dumber. Viola, Harris.
Harris now has a problem. She should pick Shapiro, but he is way too smart and talented (the Jewish thing is out there too). So, Tim Walz!! You’re table is ready!
