Democrats Protecting Maduro’s Narcos

By John Kass

Sunday Dec. 7, 2025

For the 40 years that my wife and I have been together, she’s never lobbied me about a column.

Not once.

Not even when my writing made things difficult for her socially, when I was the lead columnist at the Tribune, a conservative, and our small West Suburban village had been overrun by what I call AWFLS, the Angry White Female Leftists who hectored and ousted a reasonable moderate Democrat, U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski (D, IL). Our village, Western Springs, became known for all the Hate Has No Home Here signs in the front yards. These were rather like a declaration of war, or at least an “unwelcome mat.”

But there was one time when she asked me to write on a topic that as a mother and a teacher struck her to the core:

The 100,000 young Americans who had been killed by the Narcotraffickers to the indifference and shrugs of the Democrats and the corporate legacy media. They had twisted themselves like pretzels defending Joe Biden’s open borders.  I called that column Biden’s Border Chaos, 100,000 Fentanyl Dead and Hands That Rocked the Cradle, about the millions of illegal migrants and the drugs poisonin America’s young.

If you’re a parent, you know how parents process such news of the young Americans poisoned by the narcotraffickers. We’re horrified into stunned silence. I can still see her years ago, when when I’d come home late after work, her hands rocking those twin wooden cradles as I opened the door, Betty wordlessly warning me not to wake up the boys. The hands that rock the cradle shape the world.

While the Southern border has been closed, drugs continue to make their way to America, and death comes with them. I keep hearing the argument that the narcotraffickers of Mexico and Venezuela are providing a service that the American people are willing to pay for. I understand the theoretical economic argument. But do me a favor:

Try to explain that to a grieving father who’s just lost his daughter to the poisoning of narcotraffickers. Because that’s what it is: Poisoning.

It is an act of war.

And I really don’t give two figs if the killers of American young come from Mexico or Venezuela or some Middle-East hellhole. Be clear on this: It is an act of war to kill our kids. Jesus would tie a millstone around their necks and toss them into the sea.

Given the mid-term elections are coming, the hysteria of Democrats and their corrupt handmaidens in the legacy corporate media, their war cry is that the Trump White House taking out narco boats coming from Venezuela into the Caribbean is reprehensible and a war crime. This follows the Democrat’s “Seditious Six thought experiments in propaganda attacking the military chain of command, hoping to intimidate some 18-year-old soldier into disobeying orders. It’s all part of a political game to tear America apart. But the Seditious Six is antithetical to the law, the Uniform Code of Military Justice. It was organized by an American CIA officer.

Of course it was.

I’m told in their defense that stupidity is not a crime. But  the Seditious Six is irksome and dangerous. So I offer have compromise for the Democrats, just as their  leader, Sen. Mark Kelly, a retired U.S. Navy captain who is by law subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice is restored in rank to be frog marches to his court martial. There  he would be stripped of rank and pension.

The Democrats have been at fever pitch screaming that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is a war criminal for blowing up Venezuelan drug boats aimed at the United States.

A useful piece was offered by my favorite periodical, the Federalist The Media’s ‘War Crimes’ Hoax Was Always About Taking Out Hegseth

Of course it was.

“Throughout the past week, these so-called “defenders of democracy” and their Democrat allies have been salivating at an anonymously sourced Washington Post hit piece against War Secretary Pete Hegseth,” writes Shawn Fleetwood. “As The Federalist’s Brianna Lyman summarized, the gist of this little hatchet job is that Hegseth supposedly “’gave a spoken directive’ to ‘kill everybody’ after a Sept. 2 strike left two smugglers ‘clinging to the smoldering wreck’” in the Caribbean.

But as Americans have come to learn in the days since the Post’s “bombshell” dropped, all signs point to the hit piece being — wait for it — complete garbage.

In a surprise move, The New York Times — yes that hoax-peddling New York Times — published a story contradicting the Post’s central reported claim that Hegseth ordered military officials to “kill everybody” aboard the suspected drug-smuggling vessel.”

Throughout the past week, these so-called “defenders of democracy” and their Democrat allies have been salivating at an anonymously sourced Washington Post hit piece against War Secretary Pete Hegseth. As The Federalist’s Brianna Lyman summarized, the gist of this little hatchet job is that Hegseth supposedly “’gave a spoken directive’ to ‘kill everybody’ after a Sept. 2 strike left two smugglers ‘clinging to the smoldering wreck’” in the Caribbean.”

But the Democrats shrieking like banshees for the head of Hegseth and President Trump have a profound difficulty with history.

Former presidential speechwriter Marc Thiessen of the Washington Post argues that like almost everything, you’ll find Obama involved.

“President Barack Obama did it all the time. Indeed, in targeting cartels it has designated as foreign terrorist organizations, the Trump administration appears to be closely following the playbook pioneered by Obama.
“On taking office, Obama dramatically escalated the use of drone strikes against terrorism targets after ending the CIA’s terrorist interrogation program — finding it was simpler to vaporize enemy combatants rather than capture them alive for questioning. So Obama forged what the New York Times called at the time a “take-no-prisoners policy,” ordering more than 540 drone strikes on terrorists in Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen (including one that killed a U.S. citizen, Anwar al-Awlaki, leader of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula).

“The strikes Obama ordered were similar to those Trump has carried out in the waters off of Venezuela. Obama used what were called “signature strikes” in which the U.S. targeted patterns of behavior denoting terrorist activity (“signatures”) even when the precise identity of the individuals being targeted was unknown. And he routinely carried out so-called “double-tap” strikes — hitting a target once and then striking again to take out any survivors or other terrorists who rushed to the scene after the initial hit.

“We used double-taps all the time,” said David Shedd, former deputy director and acting director of the Defense Intelligence Agency in the Obama administration. “You would get the initial signature off of a target that’s been hit,” he told me in a podcast interview, “and if you saw that they ‘squirted’ and were injured … you hit them again.” In fact, he said, “there was often a second predator ready to go … that was fully expected to be used if you didn’t have a 100 percent coming out of the first hit — and maybe a third hit,” adding that “it was done routinely” and there “was bipartisan support on the Hill for doing it.”

Obama personally approved the “kill lists” for these strikes. “Turns out I’m really good at killing people,” Obama reportedly declared to aides. According to one estimate, the strikes Obama authorized killed an estimated 3,797 people.

He was really good at killing people bragged the man from Chicago, the so-called phony reformer who got his start in real estate helped by the convicted bagman Tony Rezko.

He was good at killing people, without warrants, with Democrats silent as drugs spread into America. The Democrats pretend that they’re shocked and surprised as China and Iran develop their foothold in our hemisphere, as America families keep burying their children.

  1. As I have commented before, five years ago my middle son was found by paramedics overdosed from fentanyl laced dope under a viaduct on the city’s far northside. His heart had stopped and his kidneys shut down. Through their heroic efforts they restarted his heart and sent him to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston(ironically where I was born.) He was in intensive care for over a month where he received dialysis. His right leg was paralyzed and after three months he left the hospital in a wheel chair. He is now still recovering in a nursing home but has made great progress and he can walk again
I have no problem blowing up these narco-terrorists, I just wish a few of their pathetic Democratic supporters were in the boats with narcotics.

    1. Cannot even begin to fathom what your son and your family have been through. My heart aches for you. Would that even ONE of these narco-terrorist defenders would have the courage to listen to your story!

    2. It is just possible that you may have hit on the Democrats, specifically the Seditious Six, pathetic ignorance when it comes to the Drug Trafficking problem in this Country. Quite possibly a few of them might want to volunteer to accompany the Drug Boats headed to the US.

Parents of the victims of Drug Traffickers, and also the recovered victims should inundate their elected members of Congress with their stories of loved ones lost to these vile Drug Smugglers and maybe even send them pictures of the harm done. They do not appear to have the capacity to understand the problem.

  2. In 2006,,fentanyl hit 60th and Michigan. That summer we had no idea what was happening, we responded to multiple OD’s a week, sometimes per day. This went on for the entire summer. Crack was fading, I believe the young kids were paying attention to the wreckage of the crackheads and realized it was a death sentence , or a permanent trip to hell om earth. Herion was introduced in pill and smokeable forms and took off. Fentanyl hit after. It was in heroin, party drugs, coke and some said weed. Narcan was suddenly on Fire companies and ambulances (used to be only on ambo’s). Now it is kept in government buildings like defibrillators, we know the Dems see the issue….why do they protect it coming in and realize they must fight it once it hits the street? We all know a family hit by this scurge….good people.

  3. Once again; Mr Kass, what a column! I like the start; bucolic, Betty and twin cradles…. and the end, that Community Organizer whacking thousands remotely…… and….then…. Mr. Jennings’ heart rending reply…. It’s early and others will add salient and sage stories, well written by your gang of my kind of Chicagoans….. and/but may I add something trivial and light?? Yesterday at Hirsch’s Meats in Plano, Texas, where I part time since moving from the west side (I include Garfield Park to Geneva in the “west side” due to my first 62 years meandering from Kedzie Avenue to Fabyan’s) a couple came in for the first time. On Saturdays Gary Hirsch has me sampling something we make at his old fashioned meat market; yesterday was fresh kielbasa(his Mom’s recipe!). They told me their story. She reads a guy named Kass. (My eyes lit up! “Me too”!) Some one, she said, had written about Hirsch’s in the comments section of one of your columns some time ago!! She said all this time later they had finally made it to the store. Kass, I doubt you have TWO readers employed at Hirsch’s!! I do share your columns with a couple of co workers…. Anyway, let me assure you that here, deep in the heart of Texas, your columns and your temperate point of view, always clearly and cleverly stated have a receptive and understanding audience. You reach us, John, and help us all in so many ways. Please keep up the good work knowing it’s NOT a void a you’re speaking to…. No…. It is America and we are listening. Thanks for everything.

  4. Great column, John. Great editorial influence, Betty.

I know very well someone who lost an adult daughter to heroin. He’s extremely smart and has strong family values, but his politics remain forever frozen at outrage over Nixon, and he still believes The New York Times is the same newspaper it was in 1972.

Hard to understand, but he toes the left line on supporting obvious airhead Walz (his governor), favoring open borders and Soros policies on returning repeat criminals to the streets. Of course, he opposes Trump’s policy of bombing narcos (though he’d previously favored bombing far more when it was ordered by the deity now honored by the Chicago worship park).

Will leftists ever recognize that their political opinions aren’t even opinions but senseless emotions? That those emotions enforced by moronic leftist government have lethal results? Rhetorical question, sadly.

  5. This is all a psychological mind game played on us by our political elite and our oligarchs. There is no left or right per se. They only want to pit us against each other.

I remember the race and the way they took down Dan Lipinski. They don’t want pols like him who will cross the aisle to work on issues he thinks are important. They don’t want people like MTG who thanked Ro Khanna for inviting her to support the rape victims of Epstein and his cohorts, they don’t want people like Rand Paul and Rand Paul Jr., Massie. Don’t question, don’t read the bill, just vote for it and then we’ll tell you what’s in it.

As for this Obama did it narrative, IT IS ALL TRUE! However, that doesn’t justify it. It should be impetus for a call to action by most who want peace, safety, and freedom to reform our government so it works for us instead of how it was explained to me, as we work for them.

As for the drugs, most of it crosses on trucks that are not searched, containers that are not searched, and on government vehicles, shepherded by our own CIA and deep state!

Blowing up fishing boats off the coast of Venezuela is theater. They don’t care about any drugs. The Sackler family and their OXY scam did far more damage to our youth and our nation and they were allowed to keep billions and stay out of jail.

This is part Wag the Dog, part regime change scheme for oil and minerals. Yes,, the border needed to be closed. The drug situation is far more insidious than the Karens who pestered Bill Lipinski.

We are being hustled. The Democrats have no leg to stand on however regarding domestic policy as their lax border and law enforcement policies have only served to degrade our society.

Republicans profit off of illegal immigration. They also profit off of the drug trade. CIA works with the cartels, they use the funds for illegal arms shipments and many other activities. Our government trafficked drugs, girls, launders money, murders people, poisons its own citizens.

Left/right is a scam. PSY OP for the chumbolones

    1. It starting to feel like it’s a scam, contrived. Two contra parallel strands of the same DNA.

Ill still hold out hope that Trump represents a real change. But those buff young little Democrat boys of Nantucket island won’t ever go without their pure, uncut rock cocaine, will they

    2. Bravo Robert. Exactly!
JK becareful for what u ask for and support. Would you you want the Army patrolling our cities shooting it out with drug dealers. Let me quote from ur beloved NYT, a senior advisor to the Army for law of war issues: “The real problem here is the dubious and legally overbroad assertion that the US is justified in using war time authority against a criminal problem.” Has congress declared war? Oh I forgot we don’t do that anymore do we. Just let any POTUS attack without consent of Congress. I thought you were a Conservative JK.
DRUGS EXIST BECAUSE CROOKED COPS AND POLITICIANS OF BOTH PARTIES SUPPORT IT. AND GET PAID OFF BY IT. Here in Lake County they named the jail after a former sheriff who used to pick up the drugs at Waukegan Airport and distribute to the dealers. When I was coroner and investigated the death of a certain Fox Lake cop it was discovered that the real crimes he was committing was running drugs and selling weapons to gangs. But because he kicked back to certain important pols, judges, law enforcement, etc even the FBI wouldn’t investigate those crimes.
The Coast Guard has been delegated the authority to do this job when these dealers get near out coast. They make the arrests.

REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR AND THOSE COWARDLY NIPS! THEY GOT BACK WHAT THEY SERVED!

  6. Yianni,
I learned in the Navy that if you don’t take out the enemy vessel that’s heading for you, it will kill you first. So, we must continue the policy to take out the narco boats (and their occupants) before they reach any shores, especially our own. Make no mistake – this is nothing short of a war that the cartels began, and with a firm hand by our president, will be decisively concluded.

  7. Great writing as always, Mr. Kass. The first response from Mr. Jennings really put a personal note on it- I hope your son fully recovers, Sir. During my Cop career I worked narcotics for quite a while. That was before Fentanyl, but I remember clearly when Crack started showing up. The things that impacted me the most were meeting parents and Family members of people who were hooked and poisoning themselves. The people actually doing the drugs were only after one thing, but the Family members who they were destroying paid for it dearly.

When I hear a politician claiming that these drug traffickers were “only trying to make a living” or some other nonsense, I think about those Family members and the pain that they experienced. Politicians who defend these dealers in death by failing to see that our laws are enforced, opening our (sic) “borders”, or by making profits from it, regardless of their political party, should be ashamed of themselves. But of course they don’t have enough personal decency to be ashamed.

  8. Even our liberal local library board has given its blessing to the enemy. I was disgusted to find at the front door of their children’s section a Narcan dispenser and a used needle disposal. Not at the adult’s entrance mind you. Imagine a moral blindness where children have their innocence and vulnerability clumsily infringed upon through misguided “compassion”. They have normalized to the curious mind of a child what is dangerous drug abuse. And they aid the drug boats from ashore.

  9. Another Great column John, Thank you for continuing to bring the absurdity by the Democrats to the forefront. They must think we are all stupid to not get it.

  10. Thanks for this courageous column John Kass. When we look at how the working-class western suburbs have warmly embraced North Shore political fads, it’s tragic.

Homeowners in places like Hinsdale, Villa Park and Glen Ellyn have absolutely no reason to vote Democrat, except many have family members addicted to various narcotics. So they want lax law enforcement and empty jails, because a huge percentage of the younger generation are addicted. Shoplifting at malls, and selling it on-line is their career choice.

I wonder how many Broadview protesters are getting paid to harass ICE. How much of that cash goes to purchase little bags of white powder, or pills that might have fentanyl ?
As long as Pritzker’s stooges & henchmen vilify law enforcement, Illinois will continue to suffer drug overdoses every day, in every neighborhood.

Dec 7, 1941 > Japan invades the USA. Democrats join Republicans to fight back.

Dec 7, 2025 > Drug cartels invade the USA. Democrats are furious at Republicans for fighting back

    1. So when comparing Dec 7 1941 vs Dec 7 2025, why doesn’t President Trump ask for a Declaration of War against the drug cartel invaders? After all FDR asked for a declaration of war against imperial Japan, and an invasion certainly qualifies as an act of war, no?

  11. Even though I don’t agree with Mr. Maitano on many things I do agree that we’re all getting played as Chumbalones by the Democrats and their media shills. Yes, it’s a Psyops used to distract from what’s really important. There is good reason why no one with an ounce of common sense takes the lying media seriously. Jake ” The Fake” Tapper identifying the Washington bomber a a white male for example last week. No response from the media to call out one of their own. JB “the Hutt” Pritzkers cousin referring to Jeffery Epstein as “family”? Pritzker taking campaign contributions from Epstein? No pushback? Yet he’s allowed a platform on various TV channels with no questions? JB is allowed to bloviate and attack Trump without any questioning from compliant media? All of the mainstream media, print included go in lockstep using the same phrases repeatedly in order to push their propaganda. When you hear the same phrase being used repeatedly you know you’re getting worked on. It’s a red flag and anyone on this site knows to ignore it. Unfortunately not all Americans were blessed with this power of critical thinking so they believe shills like Jake Tapper as
” ..well I heard it on TV so it must be true..”. I live near Houston Texas, it has what I would describe as its own Democrat leaning newspaper The Houston Chronicle. A couple of weeks ago it reported that Texas voting authorities had discovered over 100 voters in Harris County had registered to vote using PO boxes as addresses in violation of federal voting laws. The Chronicle reporter then investigated the allegations and stated in print that they fact checked and found the story TO BE TRUE. Yes, the reporter actually verified the story. Wow, I thought, you don’t see that anymore. Newspapers in this era are happy to publish stories using
” unnamed sources”, “person who doesn’t wish to be identified “, and “anonymous” so they get away with printing their lies and propaganda without repercussion. Never any attempts to verify any story. No reference to the actual source and how the planted story serves to benefit that source. Of course, the Chronicle reporter probably was hoping that the story was false and could then report it as such. That it was verified and actually reported as being factual is whats notable. Usually that part would be omitted to support the narrative and inference of falshood. As Orwell said, “the lie is more important than the truth”. Thats what these media propagandists operate on. A more apt saying might be ” if you don’t know who the mark is in a card game, then it’s YOU”. Don’t get played by the media propagandists. Don’t pay attention to the lies. Just turn ’em off.

  12. Thank you for your column. People now have in their medicine cabinets Narcan.
Used to counter overdose, and hopefully save a life.
And I ask what the hell? How did we get here? I’ve known parents who have children who struggle with addiction and how it horribly affects their lives.
As a mom, and grandmother I say blow those boats! Keep blowing them up!

  13. At this stage of the game, Trump is the best we’ve got right now, and that’s sad. That is how depraved these two shams that are political parties are. Shitty, and a little less.

Acosta was told Epstein was CIA and to go easy on him. Maxwell is going to be pardoned, book it! Her father has a State funeral and is buried on the Mount of Olives in Israel.

If your government can allow this type of scum to do their bidding with impunity, allow kids in Flint to be poisoned, immunity for drug companies….

What is stopping Trump from releasing Dem names attached to Epstein? What’s stopping him from putting out all the info on Covid, and Faucci and the Gain of function research?

We know little about the attempt on Trumps life in Butler, PA.

Don’t ask questions. Just keep spinning in this Left/Right BS divide.

You know what George Washington said about political parties.

“For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil”

Insider trading. Lobbyists money, defense contractor money, tech money. Pharma money.

I’ll take your Burisma, and raise you Crypyo! Untraceable!!!!!

  14. The U.S. has not had a formal declaration of war since WWII. The media doesn’t give a full description of what is going on. It’s all a political football to get media attention. Bush went after Al Queda; Obama went after the terrorists as you point out and now Trump is declaring the narco terrorists an enemy he can go after, just like those other instances. The problem here is that Congress cannot act. If we had a fully functioning body there, instead of a bunch of fundraiser and media hounds, we would have had a full discussion and debate about how to combat this flood of drugs and doing something about it. In its absence, Trump is acting to use the military to fight it. That’s what the media should be describing. Instead we get accusations of murder and more hysterics.

    1. Agreed. The root fault lies with the Congress which since FDR had shirked its legislative duties and gradually delegated much of its core powers to the executive. Congress in fact can act, but won’t. I mean why do your duty if it might interfere with one’s fundraising or – god forbid – take an unpopular stand and risk your cushy job?

  15. I’m old enough enter the My Lai Massacre in Viet Nam, a real war crime. Sinking drug shipment vessels with drugs headed to Cleveland, Miami, Seattle, Bakersfield or Spartanburg , SC is the furthest thing from a war crime. It’s solid policy by a president elected to get this country under control after four years of treasonous cabinet members telling us “the border is secure.”

      1. The difference is that these strikes are taking place in international waters. If the strikes were in US territory we would have to announce when and where the strikes were to take place, give the terrorists time to evacuate, read them their Miranda rights, and give them lawyers that would fill the court dockets for years. This way we only fill the bottom of the ocean with dead terrorist and drugs. Much more efficient.

  16. Given that many or like most Americans have had very painful and personal experiences with friends or family members that have been destroyed by drugs, this isn’t a winning issue for Democrats. The WaPo chattering class snobs can chat all they want, but the result will be voter backlash. But then, the Acela corridor doesn’t like the masses.

But the economy, or more precisely, continuing inflation, is another matter.

Good luck getting an AWFL to do the fiscally sensible move to Indiana. After all, there isn’t a Starbucks on every block.

  17. Excellent Mr. Kass and great reader commentary.

I worked the southside and for a short time the westside.

One Saturday the west side had fifteen Fentenayl over doses. I believe eight people died, others saved by the best Paramedics in the world of the Chicago Fire Dept.

No one cared, the media was indifferent because who cares about junkies doing it to them selves. Just the poor people of the ghetto, another day weeds plucked from the garden of life. Dead people with loving families, who were murdered not over dosed.
    .

Fast forward today it’s an epidemic of major proportions in every community of this state. Not the poor person in the city, but across our college campuses and well to do rich neighborhoods of the north shore and western counties.

Then the coroners, cops and families lie about the deaths, so and so had an unknown medical condition. Let’s hide from the facts.

We really do not have a real number of the poor souls murdered by this drug, coming from China, South America and the Mid East.

Like him or hate President Trump, At least the southern border is secure, and he is trying waging war on the dope peddlers. If time was reversed and Trump was sinking German U Boats in World War 11, the Democrats and Mainstream media would call the German Sailors fishermen.

Let’s also remember on this date the American Servicemen lost at Pearl Harbor.
    🙏🩷🙏.

  18. It is a solemn day and an important reminder that we are engaged with an enemy that learned much since the infamy of December 7th, and perfects its asymetrical warfare.
Under Mao, the communists let Chiang Kai-she’s miltary bleed itself against Japan’s invasion. They then learned not to drop bombs on our military installations like Japan did. Instead they drop bundles of cash on D.C. like Wall Street does.
And they destabilize our citizens by dropping fentanyl on us. Trump and his administration must prove themselves equal to this asymetrical campaign waged by the CCP as well as the unhinged Marxist Democrat insurgency.

  19. My sympathy for the drug runners is zero. But realize we have been at this “war on drugs” for well over 50 years. It goes back to President Nixon. Remember? And just like prohibition, it has not been successful. Well I take it back. It has been successful in a counterproductive way: creating an enormous lucrative illegal industry and raising the price of a cheap product to astronomical levels. To me that seems to be the outcome of our “war upon drugs” … basically mimicking the war on ETOH during prohibition. How’d that work out?
But why stop just with the drug boats? Why don’t we look at some inconvenient history? As suggested by Robert, perhaps half of our addicted population got their start with legal doctor’s prescriptions. How’d that happen? Well I was on the front lines taking care of the sickest of the sick, when the high priests of medicine declared “pain as a fifth vital sign.” Never mind that when I and others pointed out that pain is a symptom and could not therefore possibly be a vital sign (signs by definition are objectively observed like findings on an Xray or physical exam. Short of doing a Vulcan mind probe you cannot observe or feel another person’s pain), our concerns were summarily dismissed. The new standard of care: “All patients will be pain free”. Opioids are – if used correctly – benign. Or so the experts in pain management told us. If you do not address patients pain to THEIR satisfaction you be cited in your Press-Gainey evaluation (and likely demoted) and the Joint Commission – which by the way fully approved this nonsense – will likely negatively cite not only you, the doc, but the institution as well. As Robert alluded to, this was not drug boats. This was FDA approved pharmaceutical grade opioids: oxycontin and fentanyl as well. And all blessed by the Joint Commission … until it wasn’t.

    1. Well stated, by a real physician who deals with the alleviation of pain during surgery and illness. Nowadays we want no nothing nurses, physician assts., optometrists, psychologists, social workers and other fake doctors treating pts pain. These voodoo Dr’s. promote pot and soon psychedelics for relief of every illness known to mankind. Such BS.

  20. John,

    Well done!

    Yes, it’s poison.
Yes, it’s an act of war.
No, we’ve committed no war crimes with the bombings of the narco boats.
Yes, add Sen Warner to the list of seditious Congress members as he called for military personnel el to save us from Trump.

  21. I do find it fascinating the way they differentiate between guns and drugs – both are used to kill our youth but for some reason guns are bad and drugs are “providing a service that the American people are willing to pay for.” Anyone who is for gun control but not drug control is a hyprocite.

  22. How about Orange Man Trump for next months moutza or whatever u call it. JK, you write Maduros narcos, the shooting down boats with alleged drugs and about it being ok despite this so called drug war not being declared by Congress.
BUT TRUMPS JUST PARDONED COCAINE JUAN ORLANDO HERNÁNDEZ OF HONDURAS. YUP, UR BOY JOHN, FREED A BIG TIME DRUG DEALER. JUAN WAS FOUND GUILTY BY A NEW YORK COURT OF LAW IN 2024 AND SENTENCED TO 45 YRS IN PRISON FOR PARTICIPATING IN A CONSPIRACY TO TRAFFIC 400 TONS OF COCAINE TO USA!!!!!!!Yet blubber boy POTUS pardoned him after cocaine Juan wrote POTUS a suck up letter praising our believed fatso POTUS.
Quote Judge P. Kevin Castel: ” The jury saw him for what he was, a 2 faced politician, hungry for power, who presented himself as a champion against gangs, murder, crime, and drug trafficking but secretly protecting a select Group of drug traffickers”. Way to go Donny. How much did u get from Juan’s cut. Did he donate to your campaign, hmmmm?
Donald you get next month’s Moutza with JK a close 2nd.
    Gimme a break.

    1. Thomas, in the years Kass has been writing his online column, there have always been one or two, sometimes three resident lunatics voicing their opposition to just about everything he writes and they eventually move on. You are the current resident lunatic and I’m sure you’ll move on, too. Meanwhile, you provide readers with light humor and your commentary is good for a chuckle.

  23. Thomas. I do remember some of the commentators here – some months ago – postulating the end of the Democratic Party. And why not? It was now afterall the home of left wing lunatics. But thanks to some of Mr. Trump’s head scratching maneuvers, the anounced death of the Democratic Party is turning out to be premature. And his pardon of a scum bag drug lord masquerading as a politician, while he – Donald Trump – self righteously pursues an undeclared holy war against evil drug dealers is as you say totally beyond the pale. The fact that John Kass does not recognize this monumental hypocritical BS does not speak well of John Kass. The Republicans are going to pay big time – unfortunately – come NOVEMBER 2026.

    1. Pat. Agreed. Cato was 100% wrong as time has proven. So rather than blowing up the random drug boat why not adhere to what our Constitution requires and ask Congress for a declaration of war? After all that is what this really is, is it not … preventing an invasion of drug traffickers and their products all sponsored by a narco terrorist state? Sounds like the perfect reason for a formal declaration of war.

      1. It’s fake, it’s cowardice, it’s wag the dog. If you declare war, you’ve got to be serious. The is way, they can just stop and say, “never mind”.

Punks like Trump and Obama have no problem killing some small boat runners, but they let the bosses go. Obama bailed out Wall Street, and Trump pardons anyone who pays Alan Dershowitz or any other of his scumbag lawyers.

Two cheeks of the same backside. We don’t have parties, we have a clown show.

We’re printing a trillion every quarter just to Mostar afloat. You want to talk about inflation? DOGE, all the other cuts was just a sideshow, a chance to punish some opponents and exert force on the poor, a chance to feel like a tough guy. They’ve given all that money to Ukraine, Israel, tax cheats.

You want to talk about sovereignty? Venezuelan is selling oil and not in dollars. That’s what this is about. We need China to buy our paper so we can keep buying from them. Trump wants to let in Chinese students, he’s caving to them on trade, and is letting in Chinese EV’s.

AI places nearby demand on the energy grid, is putting our young people out of work, and pollutes our water too.

As for the drugs, my heart goes out to all affected by drugs. I have to ask though, with all of the surveillance we have, all this great tech, why aren’t we able to get a better handle on it?

Further, with all the terrorism and RICO statues we have, how are the drug dealers allowed to do their bidding with impunity?

El Chapo had pallets loaded with cash in garages on the South Side, and no one knew shit. They have tunnels from Mexico into the US, and no one knows shit.

Trump, pardoned one of the biggest dealers in history.

        Now who’s being naive Kay?

  24. As I review the responses after my last one, Marjorie Taylor Green is on the PBS 6pm news. She clearly states she left for fear of being killed and that her son has been threatened to be murdered. Over 700 death threats. WTF has this country come to. And believe me it’s related to the Epstein files. Read vol 2 of Whitney Webbs book ONE NATION UNDER BLACKMAIL. ITS A TELL ALL WITH ROCK SOLID DOCUMENTATION! IT CLEARLY PROVES OUR COUNTRY IS RUN BY NONELECTED CABAL.

  25. Such BS.
