There’s an old Chicago joke that goes something like this….what three streets in Chicago rhyme with the essential part of the female anatomy? Punchline: Melvina, Paulina, and Lunt!
With apologies to the late, legendary Broadway and West End acting duo The Lunts-(Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontaine), we have a problem these days with “Lunts” murdering their children.
I first noticed this evil several weeks ago while watching news reports of the lesbian Governor of Massachusetts, Maura Healy, signing a bill in August calling for the legalization of abortions up to and including birth of your baby.
This is scary. Many of the animated versions online of this horrifying scene in American history included depictions of the Gov. and her cadre of abortion advocates smiling with fangs and blood dripping out of their mouths and down their throats.
The most frightening aspect of this satanic ritual is that it actually happened, not behind closed doors at midnight by a witches’ cauldron guarded by rabid Doberman Pinchers or Satan crackin’ open a brewski in hell’s kitchen as he watched the girls cook up a stew of pure feckin’ evil, NO it was on television fer feck’s sake!
Is this what feminism hath wrought?
I’m sure those ladies will be happy to know it scares the beejzus outta me. Calling abortion “reproductive rights” is like snacking on baby body parts and tellin’ us how sweet the infant’s toes and testicles taste when served with a lovely olive oil. Yikes!
No matter the euphemism it will always mean the death of a tiny, defenseless human being. A child. And that ain’t right. It’s satanic.
And then last week we had the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy in the triple homicide of her three toddlers. And the outrage of feminists who are upset that the jury was deadlocked by one lone, black male juror who didn’t buy the defendant attorney’s case of “post-partum depression.”
Lately there’s been lots of talk of AWFLs in the Democratic Party, Angry White Female Liberals, or is it Lesbians? Hey I got nothin’ against lesbians; we share the same fondness for sweets. But Angry White Female Lunts? That scares the hell outta me.
And don’t kid yourselves; this is a movement of very creepy women. It would actually make a very scary horror movie if it wasn’t the feckin’ truth.
It’s too bad Gloria Steinem kicked the bucket last week, she could have played the lead. But alas we still have Hillary Clinton to scare the balls off the rest of us as “Luntism” takes over the country.
I was thinkin’ about this the other day, (Sept. 8th), while at mass for the feast of the Nativity of our Blessed Mother and was reassured by the Blessed Mother. Talk about a female being put in a situation, when guardian Angel Gabriel appears to her and sez you’re gonna give birth. She was no Lunt!
The Gospel of St. Luke 1:26-38 describes the conversation between St. Gabriel and the Blessed Mother.
In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!” But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High;
and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David,
and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever;

And Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I know not man?” And the angel said to her,

“Abortions up to and including birth of your baby” is taking the “victim” thing to an extreme. I guess these politicians think that women are incapable of responsibility & accountability (which is an incorrect thought).

Every time I read about the passage of legalization of abortion, now up to the moment of actual delivery, I wonder where these people came to that way of thinking. Sure women do have a certain right to control their bodies. However, with all of the ways to prevent conception, that would seem the better choice than abortion. There is a beating heart in that fetus, and therefore stopping that beating heart is murder. People act like animals in the wild and take care of the aftereffects with an abortion? What have we become?
Lindsay Clancy had given birth to three children, she did not have an abortion. But then she just murdered them, and women all over the Country want her exonerated. She and her attorney need to both have their heads examined. So she had PPD after number one, or was it number two, no maybe number three, oh just kill them all?
I pray every day that God will help all of these people and stop this abortion craze. And praying that God will save this Country from all who seek to destroy us. We need a lot of prayers and a lot of help!
And a certain ideological group is laughing all the way to the govt benefits office for a monthly check to support their pluralistic approach to “marriage “ and high birth rate. They have figured out how to take over western civilization on our dime. Talk about a perfect Trojan horse. Great column as always Houli. Thanks Houli…how topical. Under Pritzker and the Democrats Illinois has become the leading abortion go-to state of choice. Come January 1st it will become a go-to state for physician assisted suicide too. Not to belabor the point but under some Democratic jurisdictions (does Chicago come to mind?) certain demographic groups have an insanely high rate of homicides. Democrats seem to be able to tolerate a low respect for the sanctity of life.
That and cannabis are about the only 2 growth industries in the state.

Massachusetts is supposedly the second-most Catholic state in the nation (almost 50%), right behind neighboring Rhode Island. Maura Healey claims to be Catholic. So did Ted Kennedy. So does John Kerry. So do a lot of other politicians there. Makes you wonder why the Archbishops of Boston have been so silent for so long. Oh, that’s right, the same reason why Cupich has been so silent in Chicago: politics before faith.
It is a disgrace and people can no longer see the evil. No one of us can be a person with two minds. Church leaders should speak out.
More trouble ahead, the muslims are reproducing at record numbers and we’re killing hundreds of babies every day in Illinois alone.
How ridiculous the argument that a fetus is not a baby. You can get a year in prison and a $100,000 fine for destroying a bald eagle egg, because what’s inside the egg is still a bald eagle.
The Muslims are engaging in asymmetrical cultural warfare and they are winning. Not sure who said it, but demography is destiny.
Regarding Gloria Steinem, who happened to be Jewish, and who had an abortion and did much to legalize abortion, I go back to a Pat Buchannan quote. “Steinem accomplished something Hitler never could. A world with less Jews.”

And a few years ago then, a friend of mine wrote me from her college that she had aborted herself in the Fall! And it was all because of the Great Sexual Liberation that started in the Sixties in NY and largely supported by the college educated ‘Mudders’ as Mayor Daly would call them.

Bob. With due respect I think YOU missed the point. The majority of Americans think abortion should be legal within the first trimester. That drops off considerably in regard to the second and third trimester. I would suggest to you that most Americans – women and men – view late term abortion as infanticide. Excellent column Mike Houlihan for John Kass News. Massachusetts isn’t the only state with a hostile abusive lesbian governor. Oregon elected 2 of them. The current stooge looks like she dresses at the Men’s Wearhouse, I guarantee it.
A doctor from Univ of Chicago is running for Oregon state senator from Portland. Doctor Lisa Reynolds’ website proudly boasts “She ran for office so that she could do even more for children than what she could accomplish in the exam room.”
So what does this pediatrician prescribe ? Unlimited abortion, which she helped pass in state legislature in 2023. Oregon has the strongest abortion industry in the US, thanks to State Law HB 2002, which also subsidizes sex change surgery for minors.
Closer to home, consider the abortion enthusiasts who removed pro-life Congressman Henry Hyde’s name from DuPage County Courthouse.
Leftwing fanatics hate the Hyde Amendment, the law he authored that prohibits federal funding for abortions.
People who want abortions must pay their own way, or get a leftwing state agency to pick up the tab.
That’s what it’s all about. The Pritzker/Preckwinkle machine is built on welfare handouts, freebees and gimmees. Unlimited abortion is icing on the cake.
