Sad to say that most people have forgotten about 911, and the Schools do not teach anything about it. They young people say what happened on 911 and that breaks people’s heart. So sad.
I disagree wholeheartedly and have no idea how you reached your conclusion. Have had many discussions with co-workers and friends over the last number of days. My daughter said it has been discussed every year in school including this week
We tossed this tragedy into the Memory-hole the second the media picked up the lies of CAIR, the musings of academic frauds like Noam Chomsky and tried to virtue-signal our neighbors. Those of us who honored the memory of our lost allowed the clowns to have the podiums.
Thus, it always seems to be the case, be it COVID, or 9-11, or Illegal invasion.
It’s like Pearl Harbor, Bataan Death March, Battle of Midway, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. These days should be remembered too. They are important days in our history. We lost many boys and men. At that time science, ie nuclear weapon, saved us and the Allies from losing more. PS Japs/Nips have yet to apologize for their attack and barbarism.
Ray: With all due respect – I kind of doubt that simply wagging your finger at them and chanting “S-H-A-A-A-A-M-E-E-E!” will have much effect. But, it would be “civil”, I suppose. It seems to me like as a society, we’re going to have to do a *lot* more than simply “Call out evil when we see it”…
Thank you Thomas…..remember that our media refused to show our American angels being blown out of those twin towers or having to make the horrible choice of jumping rather than being incinerated by burning jet fuel…..how dare we hurt the feelings of those vile creatures of the “religion of peace.”
As a proud “last responder” member of the NDMS DMORT (National Disaster Medical System -Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team) along with many LEO’s, FF’s and civilian volunteers who came to ground zero to recover and identify the dead, this is always a sacred day. The work of forensic pathologists, fingerprint experts, DNA scientists, data management, anthropologists, and odontologists (dentists -my specialty) over days, weeks, months and years to give sone closure to the friends and families of the nearly 3000 souls lost that day at WTC, the Pentagon and Shanksville. It has been pushed aside and minimized by certain individuals in American politics. It has been forgotten by too many. When Members of Service were recovered and escorted to the Medical Examiners Office on First Avenue everything stopped. We all stood at attention and saluted the ultimate sacrifice 343 first responders made. Never ever forget. Never forget the people who responded, many of whom have died from illness related to their response. God Bless the USA and all it represents. It is not perfect but it remains a beacon of hope.
Yianni, I doubt any of us will ever forget that fateful day, nor forget the aftermath as firefighters, police, and regular NYorkers worked frantically to search for survivors and pull them from the rubble. I happened to be working and living in Akron, Ohio at the time, consulting for a Greek painting contractor, setting up a satellite office for him in PA. Was planning on flying home for a weekend visit, but that ended up being a driving trip. We were all in shock as we watched live TV and saw the second plane fly into the tower. The gasps and OMGs that erupted from our office staff will stay with me forever….as will those awful videos….I just received a text this morning from one of them as we both remembered this day. We must remain ever vigilant and fight back at those who would seek to turn this into a socialist/communist country, under the guise of “equality!” To which I say Bulls–t!
Very sad that people seem to have forgotten 9/11 Terrorist Attack on the World Trade Center and America. And people are still dying to this day because of what happened. I have a friend who was a NYC Fireman and worked at the Trade Center on that day. He has gone back to New York every year since for annual checkups for First Responders who were there. This year he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer and he never smoked but he did work many hours and days in the aftermath of the Terrorist Attack on 9/11/2001.
I pray today for all the victims, those lost on that day, and those we are still losing today.
I was at my desk at the U of Chicago when my wife called to tell that a plane had flown into the WTC. I thought that it was probably some small plane. Later, another call to say that a tower had collapsed. I told her that she must be mistaken, the whole tower couldn’t have collapsed. But later I saw that it did, and was followed by the second tower. When I saw the picture at the top, I thought a column was to follow. I didn’t. The picture said it all. That one picture caused a visceral reaction to the horror of that day. I think about the people who did that…and their followers who have been “allowed” to come here since then. It was AOC, who said SOME people flew planes into the towers. SOME people!
I think you are mistaken with your last line about AOC. As useless as she is, AOC did not make this comment. It was the low life Somali immigrant, and member of the squad, Ilhan Omar who stated about 9-11, “Some people did something over there” I can see how you might be confused as they are both insufferable and joined at the hip in their hate of America.
God bless those heroes who ran into those buildings to try and save lives and God bless all who worked on the “pile” to recover the dead………. It is incredible to me that New Yorkers could elect a radical Muslim hater to the position of mayor………short memories indeed…..and rather stupid of them to say the least
What have we learned? We learned they can fly planes into large buildings. What has gotten better? It saddens me to say, nothing. In many instances things have become worse. Hate and intolerance is running amok. And if you don’t hate the people they hate then they hate you. No longer are there civil disagreements. We have someone living on American soil saying 9/11 was deserved. What will happen when something worse than this happens? It’s always in the back of my mind. Not if but when.

The shock, horror and evil on that day, 9/11 must never be forgotten. Thousands of Americans were burned alive and thousands continue to die from the smoke and ash. The imploding Twin Towers reminds me that whatever can be built up can be destroyed in an instant. Never Forget and continue to pray for our country.
The cause of 911 has yet to be determined in my view. A plane cannot down two buildings like that. Building 7 collapsed on its own later in the day. I don’t think Arabs had anything to do with it. Thousand of innocents died that day . I have theories but we may never know.

We must try harder.

Hate has no home here…
How do we fight those who are evil and hate us?
Follow Israel’s lead who is eliminating one by one the monsters and perpetrators of October 7th massacre.
Bruce:
I think a civil way to fight evil would be to celebrate our past heroes. Celebrate our past victories. Call evil out when we see it.

I’d be surprised if I have any more than 5 houses on my block put up an American Flag today. How sad . Never forget.
Remember these terrorists were MUSLIM. IT MUST ALWAYS BE STATED THAT WAY!
Thank you, Thomas.
It appears many have already forgotten! Just look at the rise of the DSA! Remember only you can stop the rise of Muslims. Vote carefully in November!
Islam is a PHONEY RELIGION. ITS A MURDEROUS GANG AND SHOULD BE STOPPED.

Religion of peace, my f…..g ass!

WELL STATED AND OFTEN FORGOT. Thanks for this remembrance. As a pathologist and former coroner many people don’t know what we did and do.
Teach 9/11 and Pearl Harbor right along with Hiroshima etc… and stop apologizing for our response to evil. God bless us all.
Thank you,Harry.

I cannot pull up the column no matter what link I click on. Help!!! Love this column.

Same here.
No column needed. The picture speaks a thousand words.
Dittos. The picture *was* the column…
The Stars and Stripes fly from our home daily….except for the days the Christmas wreath is presented.

Can’t pull up the column either
I do not think there is a column. In this case, a picture is worth a thousand words.
We should never forget or whitewash what happened, and we must always remember who did this.
God bless those heroes who ran into those buildings to try and save lives and God bless all who worked on the “pile” to recover the dead……….
It is incredible to me that New Yorkers could elect a radical Muslim hater to the position of mayor………short memories indeed…..and rather stupid of them to say the least
Along with never forgetting 9/11 we should also remember the 1993 WTC attack by the same worthless cowards. 🇺🇸
Worthless MUSLIM cowards

There were two planes, one for each tower, you idiot.
And yes, the murderers were in fact Arabs.
As long as we are alive we will not forget, and we will not let our children or their children forget what the TERRORISTS did to our country on 9/11.
