Democrat Madness Triggered by Sunlight of Common Sense

Why is the hard anti-American left so angry at Elon Musk? They’ve been unmasked. He and his warriors at DOGE have found them out.

For years, they’ve been getting paid with your money, a billion dollars a week of American tax dollars, and laughing at you as the United States faces a fiscal deficit and as you’ve pinched your pennies hoping to survive the Democrat Party’s 20 percent inflation, as their leftist allies were living large . That’s why Democrats are so angry. They’ve been discovered. We see the hate and madness in their eyes directed at us for seeing the other side of their facd.

Now they’re screaming like scalded cats in a sack, because Musk and President Donald Trump have cut off their gravy train.

I didn’t approve their spending spree. American taxpayers didn’t vote on the U.S. Agency for International Development spending millions on snacks for terrorist cells of al Qaeda. Or $75 million on diversity scams in foreign nations. What about $17 million for “equity” in Vietnam? Or $8 million to teach Sri Lankan journalists to avoid “binary-gender” language? Or shoveling millions and millions of dollars at left-wing American media organizations without telling subscribers or taxpayers?

And so on.

And $2 million for sex changes in Guatemala and $47,000 to underwrite production of a transgender opera in Columbia? What of $16 million in condoms for the Taliban? Or $30 million to study AIDS among transvestite prostitutes in South Africa?

All this is only a small fraction of federal spending that you pay for. Just wait until Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency move onto other federal departments. Because they’re inviting further detailed line-by-line scrutiny of the federal budget.

Nothing illustrates political madness quite like the Democrats screaming in rage, frothing at the mouth, after the corrupt spending schemes of the two worst presidents in American history–Joe Biden and Barack Obama—were discovered and made public. Joe is a drooling meat puppet now, but are Obama and his schemes under every moist rock? It appears so.

The Democrats are now hysterically threatening the American people with violence, calling for a fight on the streets if they’re not allowed to plunder the taxpayers. They’re ferocious. The Anti-American left is having difficulty comprehending reality that now they’ve been found out, their gravy train courtesy of American taxpayers is at an end. And so they’re as hideously guilty as the true faces of outrage.

This is madness, expressed in the eyes of the lunatic at the top of this column. The woke agenda has no shame.

According to the Federalist–one of the last truly conservative media sites in America–in an article called Follow the Money: Feds Gave Millions to Left Wing Media Outlets to Politico, New York Times:  “Federal agencies have been funneling millions to leftist media outlets including The Associated Press, Politico, Reuters, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and CNN, according to public grant disclosures. These legacy corporations have fashioned themselves the gatekeepers of  information to the American public. But ever since 2015, when now-President Donald Trump announced his first campaign — and even earlier — they have spewed lie after lie in an attempt to control the political narrative.”

On Saturday my good friend Tom Bevan–the co-founder and president of the bi-partisan news and opinion site–posted  this on his X account:

“This is our 25th year operating as an independent media company devoted to debate and free speech. Still chugging along, despite repeated attacks against us over the last decade by legacy media and the censorship regime.”

Real Clear is not a “right wing” news site. Bevan and his editors select a variety of political views, left, right and center. To expose yourself to varied points of view.

There is a consensus, however: The corporate legacy media has no credibility left. That was true even before left wing corporate media was without credibility, it cannot survive in a free marketplace of ideas. Now President Donald Trump wants Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to look at once sacrosanct departments, like the Pentagon. And still the cats are howling.  The left wing corporate media that caters to the hysterics who fear Musk have a problem with logic:

How can you audit an agency that doesn’t want to be audited? How can we talk about the United States piling billions and trillions of dollars of crushing debt on the shoulders of our children without looking at the books. I grew up in a family business where my father and uncle not only did the books, but the other brother was always checking  the work of the other. Every night, so they were all of the same understanding and there were no surprises.

They raised their families and sent their children to universities and didn’t take federal loans. They worked hard and watched the books. It didn’t fall to my father or Theo George. Years later we were told by the Marxist Obama that small businessmen didn’t build their business through their own hard work and years of sacrifice. “You didn’t build that,” said Obama, infamously.  When he said it, I thought of my late father giving Obama a moutza from the grave.

“How can you, going to audit the agency, without auditing the agency?” asked Senator John Kennedy, (R-LA) from the Senate floor. “ That’s what I mean by saying common sense is illegal in Washington…Democrats don’t want to talk about what Musk has found”.

“I’ll tell you who’s interested: The American people,” said Kennedy. “The people in America who get up every day, and go to work and obey the law and pay their taxes and try to educate their kids and try to do the right thing by their kids and try to save a little money for retirement, and had to live under 20 percent inflation under President Biden, they understand what Musk is doing. They understand ‘spending porn’ and wasting taxpayer money”

It’s all coming out now, like the $270 million of USAID funding going to the George Soros backed East West Management Institute. Who’s going to investigate further, the newspaper that allowed it’s pro-Soros Marxist newsroom union to dictate editorial policy, the once great Chicago Tribune? The newsroom that is so wedded to and protective of Soros that the Tribune union defamed a Soros critic who warned that Soros’ involvement in campaigns of local prosecutors across the country–including Chicago—would destroy the common understanding of the rule of law.

And that leftist cabal forms a circle of self-protection. At this rate Musk will turn trillions back to the American people.

“None of it came cheap,” writes Douglas Murray in the New York Post. “In the fiscal year 2023, USAID’s budget totaled some $40 billion. To put that in context, that is roughly the GDP of a small country like Estonia.

“The agency was run like a small country, too. Many years ago, Samantha Power came to prominence for a book she wrote on genocide. She was against it — like most people — but the Democrats were in need of a person who could claim some moral heft. And so Power rose up the ranks and ended up as US ambassador to the United Nations under President Barack Obama. During that time, she failed to prevent any genocides. But that is another matter.”

America’s Aha! moment has finally arrived: Samantha Powers, boss of the USAID was Barack Obama’s left-wing hatchet man. And Joe Biden’s. She is considered a first rate Washington liar and Obama enforcer. The Congress must call her to account.

“Samantha Power Wrote the Book on Genocide, So Why is She Ignoring It?” the Federalist’s Eileen Brino wrote in August 2023

“Back in 2021, she tweeted a video of herself playing volleyball in Darfur, Sudan. While in Darfur, she never mentioned China’s role in funding the genocide there. Her priorities seem to have changed since she won the Pulitzer Prize for A Problem from Hell, her 2002 book about America’s history of failing to intervene to stop genocide.

“The Chinese government is committing a well-documented genocide, and Power knows it. Forced sterilization and forced abortion for the purpose of eradicating an ethnic and religious group meet the legal definition of genocide. Yet since being named USAID administrator, she has not spoken much about it publicly.”

Sen. Spartacus of New Jersey, also known as the blustering fool Cory Booker, has lost his mind.

Will they talk like gangsters if they’re shipped off to the federal lockup? Or will they pout on the edge of weeping, as left wing billionaire Gov. J.B. Pritzker pouted and trembled when another lefty shrew, Democrat U.S. Rep. Janice Schakowsky sent her shrill voice at him and challenged him for power and took the 9th District from JB. He was terrified of her.

According to The Hill, “The acting U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia is coordinating with Elon Musk over alleged “threats” as the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staff has pushed into various government offices, alarming officials by accessing a slew of government databases. “DOGE staff, embedded within the U.S. Digital Service, have entered numerous departments, installing outside servers or otherwise connecting to various government data sets and sparking privacy concerns”

If Booker is slapped into the federal pokey–the way the left wanted innocent grandmas jailed for peacefully walking on the Washington mall on Jan.6–and some convict yells “New Fish” at Cory, he’ll wet his pants. Now they’re whining about what they call “unlawful meddling.”

I’d like some super lawful meddling, in the form of federal subpoenas issued by new incoming (if he’s ever confirmed) FBI boss Kash Patel and Congress to call up Obama and Biden before a committee or better yet, federal Grand Jury.

And let’s not forget Obama’s hatchet woman Samantha Power. She knows what’s coming for her.

Right now they’re issuing shame and panic. But the nation needs reason and clarity on this. And not something hatched up Deep State style, but in the full light of day.

The anti-American left has been exposed. And it will get worse for them as Musk works his way through the failed Department of Education. It will get worse as he works line-by-line through the palace of the Masters of Endless Wars, also known as the Pentagon. They want all this stuffed into the public memory hole before the Congressional mid-term elections.

But I swear to you,  I’ll never let that happen. We’re done with the Deep State memory hole. Samantha Power and Barack Obama and witless Joe are not editors here. There are many Americans who won’t ever forget what they’ve done, or the madness they spread.

We’re Americans. It’s our country, not theirs. And what is sure to follow is just common sense.

  1. Remember when a very young Alexi Gianoulias first stepped into the din and the glare of BIG BOY politics? I remember. It was 2007 and at the Conrad Hilton. I covered his anouncement for Rich Miller’s “Illinoise.”

    Senator Barack Obama was featured biggie, because Speaker Madigan backed a dead fish by the name of Paul Mangieri. I was there early with my youngest daughter, All of the bigshots were on stage and pretty young Korean girl was the gate-keeper. Well into event Jan Schakowsky barged in late.

    The young Asian girl politely told her that the speakers were on and she would need to wait a bit. Red jab went prurple with “DO YOU KNWO WHO I AM? Rage. Yes the polite receptionist nodded.

    Schakowsky spit out a racist epithet that rhymes with spook preceded by ” You stupid Little . . .” I let out a delighted laugh at the hypocrite and asked, ” Can I quote you, Congressman?” She spit out something at me too.

    That is a Progressive.

    1. Your words are always exceedingly valuable, but especially when the citizenry is faced with governmental shenanigans. We Illinoisans are a tough lot, used to dome pretty phantasmagorical schemes and plots, but I think it’s fair to say few are ready to absorb the enormity of what us beginning to unfurl before us. Easy to dull out to the SIZE of the stack of dollars involved…who can really contemplate “billions”?

      As we look ahead, we have the eloquent words of our two Senators as they try the old Democrat tropes. Durbin’s working hard to keep the focus on “the tragedy of the feds not fully funding Head Start for the poor little kids. Will a reporter ever get close enough to even ask a pertinent question and be able to press for an answer?

      One of the monsters still on the near horizon – the Defense Department. Hopefully, SecDef Hegseth will be cooperative as Elon and DOGE tackle their almost $900 Billion annual budget. The idea that they haven’t passed an audit in 7 years is bad enough…but then you learn they’re doing their own audits internally!! And still only 7 of their 30 “units” pass!

      This will be Trump’s ultimate gift to the nation…now if he can just get Maxine Waters to appreciate the effort. (We have to reference her, since the Illinois Congressional delegation seems vewy, vewy quiet!)

        I recall, and I wish I filed this somewhere, Jan and Bob decided to smear JB Pritzker as a homosexual and printed up fliers suggesting this and plastered them around Evanston (where I lived at that time). JB was happily married and furious with her. Those were the days when a lunatic like Jan would happily go with name calling (as Chief Hickey notes) and get a round of applause from her League of Women Voters supporters.

  3. A good and heartfelt article and I agree completely. I’ve said it before, the certainty of retribution is the surest deterrence. We need to see a significant number of former high-ranking officials arrested publicly or by 3:00 AM SWAT raids; then tried, convicted, and sent to prison – not awarded million-dollar settlements [eg. Paige & Strock]. Otherwise in four-, eight-, or twelve more years things will revert back to the old way.

    Trump & company have hit on a strong formula, respond to critics by simply making public how public funds were wasted or stolen. They’ll need another strategy to fight the cries of ‘revenge’, ‘persecution’, etc. That is, if anyone listens to the legacy media.

    1. Yes and looking at today’s Chicago Tribune, you can see how much space was (not) allocated to this corruption story. All about pets today! The legacy media and rabid Democrats are going down with the ship.

  7. Can you just imagine the outrage if Republicans behaved like these rabid Democrats? Maxine Waters seems to always get a pass when she shouts like a madwoman to go after Republicans. And what an embarrassment the behavior of Chuck Schumer! No wonder they’re a failing party.

While others spend their time (correctly and understandably) focusing on the insane places and purposes that the money is being sent, my time will be mostly spent touting for a continuing peeling of the onion on a permanent basis. Hopefully by permanent legislation. That is to say, I would be past shocked to discover whether ANY of the money (or at least how much) being sent to these pretend places actually arrived there. And I’d like to know who received it and whether it was actually spent on these insane projects. How much is being syphoned off and by whom? In other words, a forensic audit of every nickel of government spending, nose to tail, of every single branch of government, every single program from the defense dept to the dog catcher. I want it on an ongoing and permanent basis from now on, forever. Not just an audit, ongoing audits used as the onion peeler. Did even a single Taliban troglodyte ever pull a condom onto his unmentionable before looking for a date in the goat herd? I don’t think so. Others may differ.

    1. Have you heard about Open the Books. Their work puts every dime, online in real time for us citizens to see. They are non partisan ( both sides siphon tax dollars I’m sure) and have offered to work with DOGE.

    2. 1% of the $7 Trillion Federal Budget is $70 Billion and easily skimmed off the top before DOGE.
      What if it’s 5% or 10%? The problem is the grift has gone international and will be hard to follow the money. USAID appears to be a money laundering operation the likes we have never seen. Hunters tax returns were just the tip of the iceberg and the Rs and Ds in on the hustle is about to be exposed.

    Can’t trust universities (most of them anyway) to do anything but indoctrinate these future reporters.

  10. Did you catch the very feeble looking Jan Schakowsky being Maxine Waters backup during the conftontation at the department of miseducation with the Doge security guard the other day? They reveal their haplessness and fake moral high ground clearly and unambiguously more and more every day! Who needs a formal admission of guilt when you can see deep into their souls by their own desperate actions? I’ve been posting on my social media accounts that every day is Christmas. It’s only been 19 days into Trump 2.0, but just as we get comfortable contenting ourselves with the progress so far in exposing the fools who have (D) next to their names (along with plenty of Republicans), we wake up and notice another gift under the tree we never expected! The best part – the Obama deification is O V E R !

  12. The amounts uncovered at USAID are trivial next to the rampant fraud and abuse in Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security Disability programs. The government does have systems to detect this and does make some effort to do so, but, sadly, they fall far short of what’s needed. If you’re aiming to cut expenses you have to go after the big numbers. Hopefully, the absurd spending at USAID can soften up resistance to attacking the big programs (including Defense Department procurement policies as well). Another large savings can be found in consolidating some entire departments. Why can’t the Environmental Protection Agency be merged with the Department of the Interior, to name but one example?

Specifically is the federal bureaucracy really and totally independent of political control? I have my own ideas, but you have true expertise on this issue.

    How about a revision to Chicago’s Taj Mabama, the Temple Of Barack Deification? Leave it half-built and put a sign out front announcing “Temple Budget Returned to Taxpayers.” We JKN subscribers could fund a Taj Mabama staff of two: Maxine Waters shrieking at the padlocked entrance while Pritzker paces nervously, eating triple cheeseburgers. Now, THAT would be government efficiency!

  16. Good Morning John from sunny Siesta Key. Down here trying to cleanse my soul of Illinois politics. The democrats are in full panic. They are trying to confuse the public and screaming from the rafters. What is great is that Karoline Leavitt, the Press Secretary is smart enough to make Kaitlin Collins and the rest of the left wing press look like fools, and she does not even have a binder.

    What the DOGE is finding at USAID is something. Seems Chelsea Clinton was a beneficiary to the tune of 84 million because she can do nothing else other than work at the Clinton Crime initiative, or known as the Clinton Global Initiative. She spent 4 million on her wedding and another 10 million on her home. The Clinton’s got boatloads of dollars from USAID. But that is peanuts compared the funds spent at all those off the wall Trans plans all over the world.

    Was thrilled to see that stoic security guard at the soon to be eliminated Dept. of Education, completely ignore Auntie Maxine Waters and her assembled group of democrats feigning outrage at Trump and his policies. They screamed that they wanted to meet with someone, anyone, somebody to answer their questions. Did one of them bother to call and ask for an appointment. NO, that would not generate the scene they wanted on TV. I think it backfired. They were nothing but fools.

    Cannot wait for more action by DOGE. Go Elon.

  20. I recently noticed that my monthly water and sewer bills had gone from about $90 a month to over $160. Found out that one of my tiolets was constantly running. The $70 a month in extra cost was less than 1% of my monthly take-home pay but the logical and common sense thing to do was to fix it, which I did. It’s what anyone with common sense would have done.

    USAID is a running toilet. You can rationalize that it’s a small part of the federal budget but common sense still says you fix it. And when you fix a running or leaky toilet the first thing you have to do is to shut off the water.

    Musk, hired by Trump and the Executive Branch, is doing what any person with common sense would be doing. Can’t wait until he sets his sites on the Department of Education. About 2% of the federal budget there.

    I took the liberty to read the initial mission of the USAID that Kennedy started. Nothing in there focuses on gender equality or such nonsense. USAID is the place where American aid is given out: food, medicine, shelter; nothing in the mission statement is about the use of pronouns or sexual identity.

    For decades Americans knew that our government was riddled with corruption or malfeasance. Now its laid bare and the insiders are losing their minds. Yet its high time that the DC establishment and our political elite learn that the US Taxpayer will not continue to be an ATM. I think these agency and section heads need to be inside a courtroom looking at 10-15 years with forfeiture of pension.

I somehow don’t think all those condoms went to keep goat sex safe, but more likely (and worse) to keep the barrels of the Taliban’s weapons free of dust, dirt etc. I remember a number of years ago seeing an infrared video online from a sniper targeting device catching one of the fighters doing the deed with a handy goat — no word if the goat survived but the sniper did his job sending the offender to his happy place.
    RE:DOGE – The rats are working to bury the evidence and hide, so they will try and emerge in 2-4 years. Let’s hope not.

    That being said Rand Paul has been a warrior in this fight since I can remember.
    Also against pointless wars.
    McConnell on the other hand is a deep state disgrace.
    I would seriously like to see an investigation into the many millionaires that being in congress has created.
    So many millionaires when their salary is great but nowhere near what it takes to become a millionaire.
    Term limits and stopping the payoffs would go a long way to ending this madness.
    So much grifting it makes me sick.

  27. So many rocks flying over the fence, with so many hogs squealing on the impact. DOGE needs to mind deep state judicial orders on financial crimes investigations just as Biden did on tuition debt forgiveness. RICO-charge any judicial obstruction of legitimate investigations.
    Government stonewalling of its own public oversight is a Constitutional crisis.

  30. Wait until DOGE gets to the Department of Energy, which was created by Jimmy Carter, not Congress. (Sorry to bust your “Trump can’t create his own agency” bubble lefties.) That agency has been throwing billions — not millions, billions — at so-called green energy projects that continue to go belly-up before delivering on their promises. There’s another one today — Ivanpah got $1.7 billion from Barry — to add to the list that now includes Solyndra, Lion Electric and who knows how many others. Ten percent probably went to “the Big Guys.”

    Elon Musk became my hero when he made Tesla successful. Circa 2015 to 2017, GM executive Bob Lutz kept appearing on TV saying “Tesla will never succeed”. Now he is really my hero.

    These deep state rats are truly exposed and cornered. Elon better triple his security.

    Why are the Democrats melting down because DOGE has peeled their onion?
    They are fighting like We the People are trying to steal money from THEM.
    Every one of them are chortling that we are in the midst of a “constitutional crisis”.

Somewhat related, locally a DEI concrete subcontractor on the Obama Presidential Center(oxymoron) suing for racial discrimination for its own shoddy concrete construction (did you see the photos of that crap, not in the Trib) that caused delays. Ironically, the last name of the fellow is Italian who called out this minority miscreant sub and is the target of the lawsuit. I worked construction in my youth, and if Italian trade guys and dolls had been in charge and installation of the concrete work on the Obama monstrosity, the results would rival a Michelangelo materpiece.
