Are Democrats playing ‘black people for fools?’ Pastor Corey Brooks says, yes

Chicago Way w/John Kass (09/16/24): This week, Corey Brooks, the Founder and Senior Pastor at New Beginnings Church & the Founder/CEO of Project H.O.O.D, joins John Kass & Jeff Carlin to talk about why he thinks Democrats continue to ‘play Black people for fools‘ by convincing them to vote against leaders & legislation the would help their communities in favor of policies that benefit migrants. Plus, Kass wonders when residents of big cities will wake up to the lies they are being told about violent crime.

  1. John, for some reason this current administration leadership reminds me of the old poem “Wynken, Blynken, and Nod”.
    I think your readers can figure out which is which among our current president, vice president, and Secretary of State.

  2. Someone in the 60’s said “figures don’t lie but liars sure can figure.” Gaslighting has gotten to be an art —or “science” depending on necessity. Crime stats used often do not include large cities or when you have a “prosecutor” like Kimmie who drops or undercharges criminals everything looks rosy. Nothing charged — move along here, that’s not a body in the street. Or thanks to EMS and amazing ED docs survive.
    People need to wake up and vote. Illegals over our own vets/citizens. NO.

    1. John Kenney:
      Blue cities not reporting violent crime continues because media in the blue cities allows them to do so. newspapers have gone woke and broke. “Democracy Dies in Darkness” is the Wash Post’s projection. they’ve allowed the borders to be repeatedly violated. the left hates you and me. If they win in November…then Wynken, Blynken, and Nod will become the Orwellian nighmare.

  3. Rich: we were little boys on 52 and Peoria Streets, our mom would read that poem to us. and at Sherman Park on a blanket at lunch near the lagoon.

    Wynken, Blynken, and Nod
    by Eugene Field
    1850 –
    1895

    Wynken, Blynken, and Nod one night
    Sailed off in a wooden shoe,—
    Sailed on a river of crystal light
    Into a sea of dew.
    “Where are you going, and what do you wish?”
    The old moon asked the three.
    “We have come to fish for the herring-fish
    That live in this beautiful sea;
    Nets of silver and gold have we,”
    Said Wynken,
    Blynken,
    And Nod.

    The old moon laughed and sang a song,
    As they rocked in the wooden shoe;
    And the wind that sped them all night long
    Ruffled the waves of dew;
    The little stars were the herring-fish
    That lived in the beautiful sea.
    “Now cast your nets wherever you wish,—
    Never afraid are we!”
    So cried the stars to the fishermen three,
    Wynken,
    Blynken,
    And Nod.

    All night long their nets they threw
    To the stars in the twinkling foam,—
    Then down from the skies came the wooden shoe,
    Bringing the fishermen home:
    ‘Twas all so pretty a sail, it seemed
    As if it could not be;
    And some folk thought ’twas a dream they’d dreamed
    Of sailing that beautiful sea;
    But I shall name you the fishermen three:
    Wynken,
    Blynken,
    And Nod.

    Wynken and Blynken are two little eyes,
    And Nod is a little head,
    And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies
    Is a wee one’s trundle-bed;
    So shut your eyes while Mother sings
    Of wonderful sights that be,
    And you shall see the beautiful things
    As you rock in the misty sea
    Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three:—
    Wynken,
    Blynken,
    And Nod.

    This poem is in the public domain.

  4. What struck me – as a secular Jew – is (aside from marked differences socioeconomically) you can replace everything the Pastor said regarding how Blacks are being “played” by the DP with Jews being “played” by the same. Why do African Americans support the Party that works against them? You can ask the Jews the same thing.
