  1. If the Civil War can be considered any precedent at all… And I have come sort of full circle on this. We can do a thing like the Enabling Act of 1864, carve out a 51st state, out of California ( and Oregon and Washington States too) and call it “East California”. This is how West Virginia was created, essentially by Federal edict, The we get two more Republican senate seats, and a greater House majority. Then we begin the process of amending the Constitution – make it the Supreme Law of the Land, that in order to qualify for ANY Federal funds to plug a budget deficit of “X” – you are temporarily disenfranchised, we send the military in to get rid of crime. Once you have cooperated, your jurisdiction is essentially safe, and also you balanced your budget – you get to vote again. This has all been done before. I’ve come full circle. Selective disenfranchisement, and the creation of new States – within States – eventually isolating the Coasts – but preserving the Union.

    OK, enough 🙂

Of course this is just to illustrate. What Trump is doing is no more Fascist than Abraham Lincoln, or his party – far less actually
