Mayor “Unions Rule” Johnson should take a clue from Jane Byrne. He should take just an hour a day and ride the various trains and busses between 10:00 pm and 2:00 am. with no security. Just like his constituents do.
Byrne moved into Cabrini-Green and actually improved the area for awhile.
I don’t even think that the voters would mind if Johnson was a little late for work if he was riding the El during the early mornings. He doesn’t seem to do much anyway.
Kass……changing topics…..can the judge in the Hunter Biden tax case REJECT the Alford plea….forcing the case to either go to trial or enter a GUILTY plea with no caveats.
We know President Joe is going to issue a pardon either way but at least a straight guilty verdict will be on the record.

Mayor Johnson should take Paul Vallas’ advice on restructuring CPS – that guy is a World Class “turnaround” expert! I’d put him on the payroll and give him a cut of what he saves Cook county taxpayers as an incentive bonus. If the Mayor can do just that, he can talk about racism all he wants.
WRT to an October surprise, Fed Rate cuts are a slam dunk – but that may happen in September to help the Harris Walz campaign. Praying that the Harris Walz campaign becomes one of those impossible to answer trivia questions, 10,20 years from now
Oh yes, with the obligatory transfer wait for a bus or another train. Preferably on a hot Fri/Sat night. Don’t wear your best duds. Leave the iPhone at home.
Asking anyone to ride the subway at night is like requesting someone to walk through a mine field.
John & Jeff, BLT’s in summer are the best! Here’s another tip for your bacon. Prior to oven baking at Jeff’s 385 degrees, cut your bacon pkg in half, so strips are 1/2 as long. Then, single layer your shortened strips by slightly overlapping them on the cookie sheet. Then bake. You will find perfectly sized groupings to layer your BLT! Enjoy!
