Trump the Peacemaker for VI Day?

From the moment Secretary of State Marco Rubio whispered into President Donald Trump’s ear that the terrorist HAMAS group had agreed to the president’s demand for a cease fire in Gaza and return of Israeli hostages, the world had changed.
On Saturday, Palestinians were trudging north from Egypt along the coast, entering Gaza, looking among the rubble for their dead, for any scraps of food. The last of the living Israeli hostages–some 20 broken souls taken in the pro-Iranian HAMAS massacre two years ago–were to be released by Monday.
President Trump, the peacemaker who engineered the amazing ceasefire between Israeli and Palestinian forces, was scheduled to go into the danger zone himself and deliver an historic address on Monday to the Knesset, Israel’s parliament.
Trump is an exceedingly brave man of immense will. Those of us who cheered him as he stood up in Butler, Pa., blood on his face after that assassin’s bullet, pumping his fist exhorting patriots to “Fight, Fight, Fight,” know that he is brave. He is the leader the world has craved and needed.
But will the ceasefire hold? Who can say?
This blood feud has gone on for several lifetimes and to think that’s over now defies what we’ve learned about the region and the steady stream of tears. Some Trump supporters, including the conservative pundit Hugh Hewitt, are suggesting it is VI Day, for Victory over Iran Day. Iran is a hateful nation that lies and lies. Iran’s tracheary is understood. The only thing we can be sure of is that the Iranian mullahs hate us as much as Israel. Their only truth is that they won’t ever stop trying to destroy us.
I type this while American envoys Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner spoke at a rally in Hostage Square in Tel Aviv. Witkoff and Kushner are successful because unlike 50 years of Western diplomacy, they actually listen.
The people were ecstatic with joy about the cease fire, and offered praise for Trump, but I have a question:

What will Obama do?
He’ll be tempted to speak. He has his allies among the leftist Democrats and the media that would shield him from reality if they could. But Trump has engineered things so that Obama’s Iran has few allies left and little room to maneuver.
Former President Barack Obama was America’s pro-Iran president. He raised his messianic arms to carry the Democrat Party toward Iran. He returned billions of seized Iranian funds and Obama tied himself and fellow Democrats to Iran, allowing Iran to develop a nuclear program that threatened the world. He shamefully protected Iran’s nuclear ambitions. And corporate legacy media shamefully protected it all.
But before he offers comments in mitigation of himself and those allied with him, isn’t it time Obama eat some crow?
As Hewitt and others have noted, Trump understood Iran as a malevolent danger not only to Israel but to the world. On Trump’s orders, on Jan. 3, 2020, he had American forces kill Qassem Soleimani, commander of Iran’s Quds Force and a powerful figure in the Iranian government when it was learned that Soleimani was planning murders of U.S. soldiers.
Trump further isolated Iran with the Abraham Accords.
He “lost” to Biden in a rigged election of 2021, and when re-elected, Trump closed ranks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and gave Israel the green light to take out the Iran air defenses. Then Trump dropped Midnight Hammer to destroy Iran’s nuclear program.
And yet, when Israel attacked Hamas officials in Qatar, Trump strongly objected and rattled Israel’s chain, proving to Turkey and other Gulf nations that he wanted peace. Trump then reached out to Turkey and Egypt and actually listened to what they had to say, using the American economy to build those economic bridges of friendship.
Iran, facing internal pressure has begun to execute its citizens in reported midnight execution sprees. Iran has been isolated. Hamas is isolated, although now Hamas fighters reportedly continue seeking power in Gaza, as warlords and clans begin ascending to rule Gaza.
And in the midst of this, the Israeli hostages are coming home.
Could this have happened under President Joe Biden?
Absolutely not. Even on his best day perhaps some 40 years ago, it wouldn’t have happened. He was a corrupt grifter and the grifters who rode in with him portrayed him as something of a foreign policy wise-man, but it was a lie. Biden and his team were incapable. And the Biden Administration was peppered with Obama holdovers and defended by the pro-Obama corporate media. Obama Deputy National Security adviser Ben Rhodes was the architect of the Iran Nuclear deal. Rhodes brother David was president of CBS news at the time. Ben Rhodes bragged how easy it was to manipulate the media for Obama’s aims to set Iran on the nuclear path.
He boasted to the New York Times:
“All these newspapers used to have foreign bureaus. Now they don’t. They call us to explain to them what’s happening in Moscow and Cairo. Most of the outlets are reporting on world events from Washington. The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns. That’s a sea change. They literally know nothing,” Rhodes said.
And they fed that skat to Americans for years, and Americans greedily wolfed it all down because they had been convinced that Obama–the silky liar–was a political demigod.
But there was a need for a sea change when it came to Iran, and Trump created the scenarios and with his willpower pushed it through. And there to chronicle it all are the lords of discredited left wing corporate media. Leftist journalists consider themselves heroes, not prostitutes, and among them you should include the shameless CNN masturbator and leftist political analyst Jeffrey Toobin.
Trump won’t be given the Nobel Peace Prize. That was given to Obama just after he was elected, though he had literally done nothing for peace except having his behind smooched by the media. CNN’s Toobin joined others on CNN to praise Obama. In 2020 Toobin also exposed himself to shocked colleagues on a Zoom call. He attributed his error to thinking his camera was off. It wasn’t. Nevertheless, CNN later rehired him as a legal analyst.
I don’t suppose the corrupt corporate legacy media would have a recipe for crow.
The origin of the phrase is not precisely known, but “eating crow” is about admitting your mistakes, although it involves relating a metaphorical humiliation to the distasteful experience of eating a tough, foul-tasting crow . They are carrion eaters, munching on road kill.
And the corporate media is also stubborn when it comes to denial. They didn’t admit to their killing the Joe Biden corruption stories or the Hunter Biden Laptop from Hell stories by Miranda Devine and the New York Post.
So how would you prepare a crow? Would you braise it or fry it? And how would you serve a crow?
You can’t very well serve them to dinner guests who’d place a napkin over their heads so as to hide their shamed faces from the eyes of God as do our allies French chomping down on their guilty pleasure of eating Ortalan. And they’re just too small to fit a beer can inside of them as we do with Beer Can Chicken.
Some of you know that my wife Betty and I are thinking about writing Chicago Cook Book. So my research took me to the interwebs and reports from The Illustrated London Cookery Book by Frederick Bishop, published in 1852:
“Ortolans are solitary birds: they fly in pairs, rarely three together, and never in flocks. They are taken in traps, from March or April to September, when they are often poor and thin; but, if fed with plenty of millet-seed and other grain, they become sheer lumps of fat, and delicious morsels. They are fattened thus in large establishments in the south of Europe; and Mr. Gould states this to be effected in Italy and the south of France in a dark room.
“The Ortolan is considered sufficiently fat when it is a handful; and is judged by feeling it, and not by appearance. They should not be killed with violence, like other birds; this might crush and bruise the delicate flesh, and spoil the coup d’oeil—to avoid which, the best mode is to plunge the head of the Ortolan into a glass of brandy.”
The Ortolan are trapped in nets, then fattened, and finally drowned in cognac, which is quite cruel. But Ortalan buntings are song birds, not carrion eaters. And no amount of cognac will make them tasty, not even if you drown them in a can of red sauce No 10.
The corporate media has no shame. Neither does Obama. Or Iran.
And neither do crows.
There is talk that President Trump should be in line for the Nobel Prize next year. It might matter to him and his family and friends, but to my mind it is rather like a journalist celebrating a Pulitzer Prize after what corporate legacy media has done to itself.
The Washington Post and the New York Times continue to hold on to their Pulitzer Prizes they “won” after promoting the Obama/Hillary Clinton lie that Trump was an agent of Putin.
Like their Pulitzers, a Nobel Peace Prize is an empty thing. It has no credibility. It has no weight, as the Nobel Peace Prize and the various associated committees have no weight. You can give a whore a medal for virtue but what does that make her virtuous? What would it accomplish? Nothing.
What’s important is that the perhaps the mothers of Israel and Palestine can perhaps raise their children in peace. That would be award enough.
And there is always Iran out there, waiting.

Just what I needed. A compendium of Obama’s efforts at doing Iran’s bidding. Especially after the Cubs’ elimination last night. Thank you for one of your best columns ever. Soon we will be coming up on the 17th anniversary of Barry’s presidential election victory. I have to say that even I didn’t realize at the time how much he’d be in the tank for Iran. Trump’s second non consecutive term is a gift from God!

If the peace holds and I pray it will, how will the Naysayers respond? What will they conjure up to continue to smear a man who has accomplished as great a deal as could be hoped for in the Middle East. As of this morning hostages are coming home. That alone is an amazing accomplishment. And to all that decry his use of NG/HS identify and deport the multitudes of dangerous criminals in their midst you must remember that it was the left attempting to repopulate places like Chicago/Illinois where those that could LEFT. The House representation controls the $$. We would not be needing this if Biden (BO) has not thrown the doors open wide. Cause and effect.

As Kass expertly documents here, Trump took the diabolical mess bequeathed him by previous presidencies — especially Obama’s — Iran and other Islamist apologists, and is making progress no long-time State Department “expert” or Medill-trained journalist would have ever thought possible. Several ways to see this, but a basic one is that this salesman-type wise guy from Queens is actually extremely intelligent.
Imagine a balance scale of functional intelligence. Trump is on one side. The other side has the collective actual intelligence of Jasmine Crockett, Eric Swalwell, Chuck Schumer, and Obama (real Obama, not press-mythical Obama). Which side goes down with the weight of real brain power? It’s the one wearing the red hat.

As usual, you’ve captured the essence of the man, Trump. He’s been called a “deal maker” forever, for good reason. But what has eluded so many, even his supporters, is that he is truly a man of God. His faith has been his guide all his life, which is lost on so many. He made up his mind to be a peacemaker, to bring warring factions together, and stop endless violence, that he deems a sin. No one dares discuss his faith, as it is really a private matter, but some of us faithfuls, understand the man – as you do – and his being. We’ll always be thankful to our Lord for lending the man to us for awhile, and so will millions of others that will finally be able to live peaceful lives, thanks to the man. (Notice that I will say nothing about Obama, as he will remain insignificant!) Bravou Yianni!
Good on the Israelis and good on Trump, but it’s way to early for a victory lap. There are many challenges ahead in the region, most of them predicable.
So true: as President Trump won’t get a Nobel Prize, history will remember him for the peace he brought to Israeli and Palestinian families. But isn’t that true leadership? Doing what’s right without expectation of personal reward?
Circling back to listening…recently the Ukrainian Ambassador to Washington noted a shift in American diplomacy. A new European partnership where the European stakeholders are expected to participate, that America listens and expects its partners to participate as real members. Successful leadership is listening and making informed decisions. It also entails that
leadership understands it cannot go alone, it will always need help and these helping are know their contributions mean something.
Obama was woefully unprepared to find himself as the adoring MSM post terrapin.
There is very little in Hawaiian beachcombing, coffee klatches with Bill Ayers, “community organizing” for your political ambitions, voting “present” on issues requiring moral clarity and digesting the Alinsky playbook that prepares you for the most important office in God’s creation.

I felt like the malarky regarding the Peace Prize was overdone. Give it a year, see if the peace holds. There are reports that Hamas is already breaking it.
This is a very good column. I must admit. Everything you say about Obama, Biden, the Democrats is true. They’re not only corrupt, they’re morally and spiritually bankrupt. I don’t see myself voting for them again anytime soon.
You’re also right about Trump. He has the independence and bravery to speak the truth sometimes. Obama never did, and Biden needed cue cards to remember his lies.
You ignore the corporate capture of the nation. The enormous sway their oligarchs have, and how we are slowly gong back to the gilded age where a relative handful own everything and the rest live hand to mouth. But yes, Trump is the best option right now. I never thought I’d say this, but it’s true.
Regarding Iran, history tells me that the US overthrew their government and installed a puppet Shah, who was brutally repressive and sold out to the oil companies. This gave rise to the Islamic revolution. You conveniently ignore the US roll in fomenting chaos in the Middle East.
Saudi nationals flew planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and tried for the White House. Al Queda runs Syria now. I guess we like them now. The Taliban runs Afghanistan. We still haven’t found the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Saddam at least kept Iran busy, we toppled him and removed the threat allowing the Islamists to foment terror.
As for Israel. Yes, Trump has supported them. Biden did too, despite the hand wringing and mealy mouth pleas to get aid to the civilians in Gaza. I find it ironic that the strikes in Iran supposedly set them back years in their nuclear program, but Netanyahu is still calling them a threat.
If you look at the facts, it’s hard to believe Hamas could carry out such an attack given the surveillance apparatus that Israel has. Some soldiers have reported that they observed movement, they reported such, and they were ignored. Some have said they were told to stand down. We know the response to the attack wasn’t very prompt.
There are many other points I could raise, but I think I’ve said enough. The US is too involved meddling in other nation’s business. Our infrastructure is crumbling. The first Trump admin couldn’t get an immigration bill passed, couldn’t get an infrastructure bill either.
Now, he’s pulled funding for infrastructure from the states that didn’t vote for him.
Even with all that, he’s the best we’ve got now.
MTG is right. Our young people need hope. They are struggling while all of our resources go to wars and all of our money gets soaked up by oligarchs and the corporations.
The Democrats ushered in a corporate coup, and the Republicans aiding oligarch power.

He doesn’t give campaign speeches asking you what you can do for your country. He simply stands at the podium declaring “…this is bullshit..and I can fix it.”. He tells you that he can lead you to successfully solve these issues. Not with ” Hope and change” but with actions. Trump represents more than a politician. He represents a movement which is why Globalists fear him. Trump has demonstrated to the world that all you need is one man to stand up and say.. ” that’s enough and no more”. I remember reading an article in the newspaper during Trumps first term about a small village in Africa who erected a statue of Trump in its town square of Trump since he was beloved there for not taking any bullshit. From anyone. That is why he will never get a Nobel or any other recognition from the bastards. Trump is a Statesman not a politician. Winston Churchill was a Statesman not a politician. With all of the rioting in the last couple of years in support of the Palestinians, you would think there should be boisterous celebrating on these campuses. Yet they remain silent. Why? No” Queers for Palestine ” celebrations in the streets for peace? Why is Green Goblin Greta Thunberg not celebrating the non starvation of Palestinian children? There are six words spoken by George H.W. Bush that changed the course of history…”Read my lips, no new taxes”. He approved additional taxes proposed by the Dems, the legacy media pounced. Ross Perot enters the 1992 election, takes 19% of the vote (the vast, vast majority probably going to Bush) and Bill “I did not have sex with that woman, Monica Lewinsky” Clinton gets 43% of the vote and wins by less than 6%. All Bush had to do was veto the bill and force the Dems to own the tax increase. If he did this, there would be no Bill Clinton, and the GOP may have been in power for untold years. I pray to God that the GOP and DJT does make this same mistake.
This is an echo chamber where they like to see their own views affirmed and questioning, or calling bullshit. If the Democrats were even semi honest and doing even a half way decent job of running the nation, we’d never have seen the likes of Trump. The problem is most of our politicians are mainly concerned with furthering their own wealth and rewarding their benefactors.

Great catch on the sniveling little Ben Rhodes. I did a column years back on the connection between him and his big brother and asked “Did the ‘Brothers Rhodes’ use CBS to push the Benghazi video excuse?”. Of course the corrupt legacy never pushed the issue and both got off without a scratch but the question still stand.

I was recently in London and visited the Churchill War Room where he ran the war. A fascinating visit and as Mr. Diaz said he was not a popular politician. He changed parties twice! He was exactly what Britan needed however in their worst moment. If you have the chance to visit don’t miss it.
The Nobel Peace prize however going to a woman who faced down a killer and risked everything to help her country does not bother me. Trump should win next year if the peace holds but the odds are against it. The Hamas soldiers are already carving up territory according to news reports.

Why do I think and feel that down the line Mossad will mead out justice to the Hamas blood thirsty murderers who are being freed in the current peace deal like what happened years ago down the line after the Israeli Olympic athletes were murdered in cold blood by Muslim swine.

I do not watch TV or read the papers. Only the Obits. Our World is not what it use to be. Our Schools and Universities have brainwashed the young. The G young people get their money from their parents. How sad some wait for the Parents to die to get the money. Very sad indeed.

Main stream media cannot be trusted, Blinken/Mitchell can’t fathom the success of the Trump Administration. Typical democratic media lies, give credit where credit is due, let’s hope for peace and tranquility to stop the suffering on both sides.
