#MeToo Unless You’re a Jew

Was it only yesterday that critics of left-wing billionaire George Soros were apt to be denounced as antisemites, and socially isolated and silenced, threatened with loss of career and status?

Yes.

But now it appears that the worm has turned. And that Soros defensive shield that relied upon fear and intimidation of good people has been weakened.

It started on the beginning of Hannukah, as Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan condemned Soros as “shameful” for reportedly funding pro-Hamas groups to the tune of more than $15 million. Some reports list more than $24 million or more.

Some 1,200 Israelis were killed, and hundreds of Israeli and Americans were taken hostage in the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks of Jews in Gaza. Jewish women were raped and murdered. Jewish children were murdered and tortured. Families were destroyed.

And Jews in America lived in fear as pro-Hamas activists threatened them, even at the great Ivy League universities, where rage-filled and blood curdling screams demanding Jewish genocide were blandly ignored by Ivy League administrators afraid they might anger the anti-Israel political left. And in the midst of all this, many wondered where the pro-Hamas money was coming from that fed the left-wing aggression among pro-Hamas nongovernmental organizations.

But Israel knew. Israeli Ambassador Gilad Erdan denounced Soros, a Jew, as “shameful” for backing pro-Hamas groups that support BDS, the anti-Israel intimidation tactic known as Boycott, Divest and Sanction.

“George Soros’ donations to organizations that seek the destruction of the State of Israel as a Jewish state is shameful,” Erdan told Fox News. “However, I am not surprised, for years, Soros has backed and transferred money to organizations supporting BDS that want to isolate Israel,” added Erdan, who has been leading the diplomatic campaign at the U.N. to spell out Hamas’ crimes against humanity. “They have never been about real peace or any solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

But Soros has always been about the leverage.

Just follow the money. Or ask the “rogue prosecutors” he has backed, in part because they don’t follow the law and  they don’t compel lawbreakers to abide by the law.

By not enforcing the law, by deconstructing legitimate law-enforcement, Soros brings anarchy and chaos to the major cities as anyone who has spent five minutes in Chicago can attest.

If, say, you lived in Chicago–where violent crime has been on the increase–and dared condemn Soros for funding the political campaign of hard leftist Kim Foxx for Cook County State’s Attorney, or other similar “rogue” prosecutors, then you run the risk of being denounced as an anti-Semitic bigot, a hater of Jews, even if you never mentioned (or even considered) Soros’ ethnicity or religion at any time.

That is crippling to weak people. It is about intimidating them into silence. I know. I refused.

Certainly there are anti-Semites who oppose Soros for being a Jew. It is how they’re wired. They hate people for who they are. The cliche is that they’re of the right, but truth is, that they’re Democrats of the hard left. This is  an ugly fact of life often ignored by left-wing corporate media.

But there are many Soros critics who see the damage his push to elect rogue left-wing prosecutors has caused in almost every major urban center in America. In those cities like Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and other towns political leaders and others have hesitated rather than publicly criticize Soros.

It isn’t some dystopian novel. It is the real thing. The charge of anti-Semitism could bring real pain, real fear. That fear of being denounced, socially isolated is real. Soros is of the left and that angry charge of anti-Semitism was often used by the left, by Soros mouthpieces, activists, supporters, even union officials determined to silence opposition. I personally know this to be true.

And then came the Oct.7 bloodthirsty attacks of the pro-Iran terror group Hamas against Jewish children and women. Writer Steve Huntley catalogued it in his great column here the other day at johnkassnews.com.

Huntley writes about the silence over the documented mass raping of women. Mass murder. Documented torture of little children.

An odd thing was the silence of the left—in media, politics and the universities—that refused to criticize Hamas.

Huntley: “Take the idiots and bigots who showed up at an Oakland, CA, city council meeting to speak the unspeakable — that the slaughter of Oct. 7 was Israeli propaganda or that “Israel murdered its own people.”

“Also oblivious to this moment of clarity are celebrities like Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon who did ‘hunger-striking’ for two days — yes, ludicrous but evidence of her character — for a permanent Gaza cease-fire.

“One of the jaw-dropping aspects of American reaction to Oct. 7,” Huntley writes, “has been the virtual silence from progressive feminists and Me-Too activists over the rape rampage against Jewish women.”

As I stated earlier, it became known that Soros had funded pro-Hamas groups. Gilad Erdan denounced Soros

Just follow the money.

You wonder why the Ivy League universities are so blasé about Jew hate? Just follow the money.

I can’t think of a more cringe-worthy display than watching those ridiculous fools (Ivy League Presidents) lecture Congress that any demands for genocide must be considered in “context.”

Thank God for The Federalist. Jordan Boyd writes:

“The New York Times framed the hearing as a Republican-led performance to “Try to Put Harvard, M.I.T. and Penn on the Defensive About Antisemitism.” The questioning from several GOP legislators, however, showed presidents at MIT, the University of Pennsylvania, and Harvard have little to no remorse over their slow response, silence, and staunch refusal to punish students for flaunting antisemitic and anti-Western sentiments.”

“The repeated failure of the college presidents to condemn or punish the antisemitism plaguing higher education institutions even led Rep. Elise Stefanik, chair of the House Republican Conference, to call for their resignation,” writes Boyd.

And that’s why I modeled the headline of this column #Me Too, Unless You’re a Jew. I didn’t think it up. Others did, but it is a brilliant tactic to illustrate the craven nature of America’s elite.

In that public hearing conducted by Rep. Stefanik, the presidents of Harvard, Penn and MIT could not answer the most simple question. And they were afraid of angering the hard-left that for decades has controlled the universities and shut down the free speech of conservatives.

Asked repeatedly, they could not answer the question whether the public pro-Hamas demands calling for the genocide of Jews violates standards and codes of conduct. They couldn’t answer and said it “depends” on context.

Genocide depends on context?

What if the radical pro-Hamas protesters called for the elimination of blacks or homosexuals? Would the presidents of Harvard, MIT and Penn find the courage to say something. They’re scrambling now to add “context” to their public cowardice. But it’s too late.

You really don’t need an Ivy League credential to understand these Ivy League moral frauds. You don’t need an advance degree to understand what George Soros has done to America. All you need is good old-fashioned Midwestern common sense. But you could clearly see them smirk.

It tells you what you already know. The Ivy League is the place for cowards, a place for men and women without chests. A place that curries favor from Jewish donors, but also a place that won’t protect donors’ children.

And Soros will do what Soros will do, no matter the costs to the cities where his politics have unleashed anarchy and chaos and a sense of utter lawlessness for all the victims of brutal violent crime.

We all need a good cup of common sense.

What we see in the testimony before Congress is the result of decades of infiltration and influence via the long march through institutions, with social activism and cultural decay activism reaching back to the words of Antonio Gramsci: “ “Socialism is precisely the religion that must overwhelm Christianity. … In the new order, Socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches, and the media by transforming the consciousness of society.” The long march continues in real time before our eyes.

      1. What they need is to be hit in the pocketbook. I’ve told Cornell that I’m not giving them another dime (after 10’s of thousands in the past). If enough alums and other supporters do that, they’d understand the context!

    2. Pat. As much as I despise Hamas, they played this out brilliantly. They fooled one of the most expert intelligence operatives in the world to believe that they – Hamas – had changed: they (Hamas) no longer desired war but rather wanted to focus on improving Gaza for their own citizens. Then of course they thrilled the Arab world by killing more Israelis than all the past wars combined. And they did this knowing that eventually the limousine liberals in the West would call for Israeli restraint … as is precisely now happening. Hamas also remembered that at one time in the recent past, Israel released from prison (I think) 1000 Hamas fighters in exchange for one captured Israeli pilot. My point? Hamas still has scores of hostages. Given the past arithmetic of prisoner exchange, those scores of Hamas thugs that you cite now surrendering can likely look forward to another day of fighting and martyrdom, rather than any prolonged incarceration.

  3. The hypocritical dance of the university presidents at the hearing was amazing. As you said and most of us thought, what if it were anti gay or anti BLM for example. Somehow I don’t think the word “context” would have entered in. Was the evil in World War II “contextual”? The moral compass has spun out control. It no longer exists. One can Only hope in this holiday season celebrated in different ways by different cultures, there is a spark of conscious and good will towards all who do not call for such genocide.

        Technically speaking, slaves and immigrants did most of the building of America – you’re not going to have many ‘natives did this’ moments in a country as young as this one, especially when compared to places like Europe.

        The part built by the slaves was mostly destroyed in the Civil War. The destruction wasn’t the fault of the slaves – the elites who decided everyone else should economically-compete with slave labor are the ones at fault.

        The part built by immigrants didn’t suffer this misfortune and survived. This probably shouldn’t accrue to any ‘bragging-rights’ for immigrants or their descendants, unless you want to talk about how the immigrants were smart enough to avoid the South. Even so, this was an opportunity only immigrants had – slaves had no choice but to waste their labor in enterprises that were doomed to perish.

        Helen ended the rant complaining about the large number of new-comers and how white-guilt is used to promote letting in large populations that won’t assimilate. What she doesn’t mention is that the same fear of being taken-over by vast immigrant populations is nothing new – the Know Nothings come to mind. She touches on a very real problem: in the past, we had ‘room’ to let in lots of immigrants. The US was a back-water (i.e. the rest of the world wasn’t looking for opportunities to bring it down), there were plenty of wide-open spaces (i.e. enough for even the Mormons to setup their own thing). None of that is true now. What’s happening in Europe now should be a concern.

    Do not think that the attitude that was exhibited by Ivy League Presidents in the hearing is confined to just those three schools. It’s all of the Ivies. It’s any elite credentialed institution that when you hear a child is accepted to, you are happy for them.

    But, it’s also at U of I. It’s at Michigan. It’s endemic in education.

    Hate has a home there and the other monster that worked the system to instill hate lives in Chicago. Down in Hyde Park, Bill Ayers found respectability in education and he worked from within to change the system.

  15. The Left has tried to portray any attacks on the Jewish-born George Soros as “anti-semitic” but the fact remains that George Soros has been a Jew-hating sociopaths since at-least his childhood. Witness his 1998 interview on ABC’s 60 Minutes (easy to find on YouTube). There have been numerous prophecies and claims that the anti-Christ would appear in the 20th Century and walk among us posing as a philanthropist. Soros tops my list of suspects.

  20. There used to be a government operative (not really). An agent for the preservation of society and justice. He would be dispatched to eliminate super villains who were a threat to the world. He never mirandized any of these super villains. He never even carried handcuffs. This agent never went to any court to testify against these villains nor to ask our congress for funding. His name was James Bond (a fictional character). He always eliminated the threats. Maybe Israel needs to find their own James Bond.

    I watched some of those Ivy League mouth pieces testify on the hill. I was astonished. To see institutions of higher learning act the fool was one more lesson in how we no longer have any morals. I guess those big donations will no longer trickle in.

They sat in front of congress refusing to admit their promoting of anti semitism on their campuses, keeping their leftist cred intact with their core supporters. Later on social media they admitted their sins and begged for forgiveness fully aware that the mass media wouldn’t publicize these statements. A billionaire donor promptly announced he was cancelling his 100 million dollar endowment to Penn university. Billionaires aren’t usually stupid people. Someone once said ” money doesn’t talk, it screams..” And no one likes screaming. I’m sure the universities will soon cut these people healthy “severence” checks to get their resignations thus keeping the donors and the lefties both happy. The checks will be in the millions to keep the bitching down so don’t feel too sorry for the out of work millionaire college deans. Book deals and fellowships will soon follow…

I took some solace in the news last night that a Penn donor was pulling back a $100M contribution and their idiot leader is doing the Michael Jackson walk move. The gal from Harvard is just as bad.

    My beef stock is simmering away and sure smells good. I’ve got people coming over next Saturday- when does the chicken stock column come out? I saw an old video on how you do the onions and finish the soup so I think I’m good there. Bought some nice bowls for our guests but my sweetie love French Onion soup so I’m glad to do this for her.

  26. The “Ivys” are really nothing more than grossly overblown New England Divinity Schools. They are too influential, and I’ll say seldom in a good way. You don’t get a good education, and their entrance requirements are only there to limit the number and types of students who are going there “for the contacts”. Which is why I really enjoy this mental exercise of kicking States out. Kick out New England (even if its just in you mind) and we lose 5 Ivys, and they’ll be just fine. They can just sit around and teach each other

He is disingenuous and a master at dodging and deflecting answers to the most straight forward questions.   29. I think the 60 Minute Steve Kroft interview of Mr. Soros in late 1998 affords (disturbing) insight into the Soros psyche and motives. It remains on You Tube.

    Jews as a group have always been for the “underdog.” This is historically true and also supported by my personal upbringing as well. As such they have by and far aligned themselves with leftist politics and many with Marxist socialist ideology. Their party of choice overwhelmingly, has been the Democratic Party and the Party’s foundational beliefs. Now – in a shockingly surprising irony to many Jews – those foundational beliefs that America and western civilization in general is riddled by colonialism, white privilege, white supremacy, injustice, and victims everywhere, are now being used against Jews.

    A corollary to the above is the “support” of Hamas by Jewish organizations such as Jewish Voices for Peace and INN (If Not Now). This is a dangerous contagion; far exceeding the danger posed by one very rich man.

Often while at work staring out the windows, I ask myself how we went from two bucks a gallon for gas and relative calm with known bad actors around the globe to the very real threats of global war with the possibility of nuclear conflict, a second Jewish holocaust, in the span of three years.

    WE know about George Soros. We have known about him since the Obama years.
    But, it amazes me that, because the MSM has worked hard to protect Soros, many people today still don’t know who George Soros is, what he does and how he makes his money and then gives it to radical left causes.
    In fact, when we stray away from the simple labels of liberal, conservative, Democrat and Republican, we lose the tactical advantage of any political discussion. History teachers have done our kids a grave disservice by not teaching them about socialism, collectivism, communism or fascism. Nothing about Karl Marx, Leo Tolstoy, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Hitler or Mussolini. No need to muddy up the indoctrination with pesky historical facts. It is by design.
    The liberals have made it their life’s mission to bury their abhorrent racism and to twist history to their advantage. Think about it. We have college professors in this country who blew up buildings and killed cops in the 70s. We have members of the old Black Panther Party-a party that openly called for the killing of whites-that are ELECTED officials in this state. Kids today don’t know that or anything about the 1968 Democratic Convention or the Chicago Seven or the SLA or FALN. But they believe that Che Guevara on a T-shirt is really cool and our founding fathers were nothing more than scumbag slaveowners and oppressors.
    I see nothing short of an all out revolution to fix it.

    Context? How about 1,200 chopped up victims whose bodies were then desecrated?

    Follow the money and know where it goes. Time to shut down the endowment troughs.
