Γιάννη,
So the electorate got the mayor they deserved!! Another empty suit, with zero experience or ability. Elected only because of skin color- sorta like Kamala. When will we wake up??? Great chat, thanx.
Hey, I just called the Assessor’s office, you know, the genius who said that he would make our real estate taxes fair for everyone, Fritz Kaegi. Well, I called his office to sell a building to them for what he
appraised it at. They won’t buy it! Imagine that! If the appraisal is fair and they swear the value of the property they appraise is just, then buy the damn building for what you say it’s worth. I’ll even discount it a little, since no broker is involved.
This guy is taxing people out of their homes and businesses.
I really think every elected official in the County of Cook and the city of Chicago was taught economics by Brandon Johnson or the Brandon in the White House.
No one can survive for very long by spending more than they earn but Democrats and the combine don’t seem to believe it for a second. Lord help us to help ourselves and vote these scoundrels out of office.
great letter Len Gassman. How many things you didn’t buy for yourself to put together enough for that building, and now Fritz doesn’t want to give you fair value VALUE THAT HE SET? amazing
Great new picture of you, John. Looking strong sir!!
Handsome, fit, rested — a good way to end ’23.
John hope you can add this to the discussion.
Even the Sun Times is starting to publish unflattering articles about the ineptitude of CPS.
The 4 year college graduation rates of CPS students is appalling.
I suppose the excuses will be the usual suspects paraded by the Mayor County President and the Governor.
When or will the electorate of this state wake up to what is being done to young folks by the institutions.

Everyone knew before the election that this guy will be up to no good. Even though I sent $50 to his campaign when he first announced he is running, I did so in the hopes that he would unseat Lightfoot the lesbian who snatched the title “Sin City” from Kenosha, Wis. and made Chicago, the Sin City Capital Of the World. And 4 days before the election, I wrote to the Tribune that both the candidates, Vallas and Brandon are the least meritorious candidates and predicted Johnson will win since he speaks what his people want to hear and never once will utter the word Police whilst Vallas kept stooping up for the police.
And to my credit, I offered Don Tracy the Republican Party Chair to cut a check for $1000 if he would find a Bernie Epton to run against the democrats. After all, this was the guy pleading for $50 from the party grassroots to enable him to field qualified people to run for election! I never heard from until now with his plea for year end contributions.

Just a thought on: “…..I always thought I’d vote for the person not that straight party thing….”, – about time. Seriously, unless you’re voting for an executive: president, governor, mayor, county executive, the candidate is elected primarily to VOTE. How will he/she vote? Ninety percent of the time or more he/she votes with his/her party. Voting a party line makes much more sense when you consider that.
