Democrats Drag America Into the Mouth of Their Madness

By John Kass

May 14th, 2025

Watching the Democrats storm the Immigration and Customs enforcement facility in New Jersey, applauding themselves and singing their creaky old ‘60s protest songs like a collection of cos-playing Pete Seegers dressing up as clergy, and threatening the government to protect illegal migrant criminals and gang members, I couldn’t help but think of France.

Why France?

We’re on our way, aren’t we?

Only a moron couldn’t see it. And only a servant of the Democrats–or CNN anchor Jake the Fake Tapper–would watch this and say nothing.

Just imagine their current revolutionary princess—Alexandria Ocascio-Cortez– leading the Democrat Party back in the late 1789 at the storming of the Bastille.

You can see her there, can’t you? Of course you can. You see it there just as you can see her here.

Can’t you?

And the French Revolution was born. The lopping off of heads began. They hated Christianity. The Roman Catholic church was in their way, an impediment to their ambition. They were their own gods. They had their slogan, “Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité.”

The Jacobins of our own time–we call them Democrats–have their slogans and their leaders, full of pride, full of anger, full of rage. And violence. Violence in their rhetoric, violence in their speeches, violence in their imagery.

In the France of 1793, not the United States of 2025, they not only believed in the death penalty, they embraced political murder as a nation of zealots. Approximately 16,594 people were officially executed by guillotine, the severed heads raised aloft to the lusty cheers of the mob. According to the World History Encyclopedia, an estimated 10,000 to 12,000 individuals were executed without trial, and some 10,000 died in prison. In France.

And in the United States of 2025, the Democratic Jacobins in America, led by their revolutionary princess Alexandria Ocasio Cortes threatens anyone who dares stop them by supporting the law.

That’s the key to understanding this political drama now. It’s all about public outrage and performance art, but if and when they grab power in the mid-term elections next year, the heads will roll.

As the Federalist’s Todd Bensman reminds us, “Where Was Democrats’ Outrage When Obama and Biden Deported Illegal Alien Housekeepers and Gardeners?

Bensman writes, “…Americans need to be reminded that no such war for their hearts and minds happened when Democrats Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton collectively deported millions of illegal aliens who also merely worked hard, paid taxes, and stayed out of U.S. prisons and off gang and terrorism intelligence databases.

“When Democrats carry out deportations, there is nary a peep of protest from this very same peanut gallery. When the Biden administration secretly air-deported hundreds of thousands of Central American and Haitian mothers with babies in their arms just a couple of years ago, there were no stories planted to spin up a rage machine. Those operations drew no tear-jerking stories in the corporate press — or really, any coverage at all.

“And when Biden was vice president, he and Barack Obama practically got a blank media hall pass when they air-deported tens of thousands of unaccompanied illegal alien children back to Central American tarmacs to shut down a surge of those in 2015. Most Americans still don’t even know they did that, not to mention the millions of other non-criminal family members and oft-vaunted “breadwinners” they deported during all eight of their years in office.

“And Bill Clinton? His party base lauded him in the mid-1990s when he spearheaded tough deportation-centric legislation known as the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996.

“The coming war on Trump’s mere remake of Democratic Party deportation programs lays bare the profound double-standard hypocrisy of the activists waging it along with their partisan media allies who so willfully believe that a unique new MAGA inhumanity is afoot.

“It isn’t. This is an old story with new, politically motivated framing.”

And the political left is always making threats to rally their followers to the barricades before the head lopping can really begin.

So, if you can cut through the whiny sentimental weeping and AOC’s drama-queen bit, and the old Pete Seegar protest songs outside that ICE facility in New Jersey, what do you find?

A ravenous appetite for power. Pure power.

Who are the Democrats fighting for?

The child rapists? The murderers? The gangbangers? The sex-traffickers?

The beasts who murdered and raped the young nurse in Georgia, Laken Riley and the mother of five in Maryland, Rachel Morin. And beasts like these also sexually assaulted and murdered Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old American girl in Texas. Former President Joe Biden opened the American borders and let in between 12 million to 20 million of these illegal criminal migrants. The corporate legacy media lied for Biden and they gaslit other concerned Americans. They harassed anyone who cried out and called them fascists. Biden and the Democrats let in the worst of the worst. And now AOC and the others threaten us with more violence.

This is who they are. They’re showing all of us. All who are of the left are doing anything they can to stop the lawful deportation of the criminals. That is who the Democrat Party have become.

It’s more than idiotic political theater. It is dangerous and stomach turning.

All you have to do is look up the French revolution. The ICE facility in Newark isn’t the Bastille, but they’d like it to be. It works for them.

According to the left wing news site Politico: “Newark Mayor Ras Baraka’s Friday arrest fired up liberal Democrats in and outside of New Jersey, turning his hours in federal custody into a political moment for progressives and the region’s immigration activists while boosting the mayor’s national profile as he runs for governor.

“Free Ras Baraka! Free Ras Baraka!” protesters chanted for hours outside the federal facility where Baraka was held Friday.

He’d been arrested earlier that day at another protest outside an immigration detention center on a trespassing charge.

By the time he was released that night, a wave of support had formed following his arrest, which came after armed federal officers got involved in a scrum with three members of Congress who were seeking to tour a new Trump administration Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in Newark, Delaney Hall.”

It’s obvious that the Democrats think they’re above the law. Baraka is using this to launch his New Jersey campaign for governor.

What is the cost?

“Democrats across the country have major trouble following that “no one is above the law” precept they keep invoking — as witness multiple recent scuffles as the left goes to bat for illegal immigrants,” argues The New York post in an editorial. “First up, at New Jersey’s Delaney Hall Detention Center — which houses border-jumpers accused of crimes ranging from rape to murder —  Reps. Robert Menendez Jr. and LaMonica McIver got into an altercation with ICE agents as McIver tried to force her way into the facility.

“Also protesting was Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, who ended up in cuffs and custody for his part in the fracas.”

Menendez, son of the corrupt Senator, went on TV this weekend, insanely, to blame the immigration enforcement officers he and his colleagues went after. In the view of the Democrat Jacobin Party, every criminal and thug who crossed our border illegally deserves to stay here forever and hoover up infinite tax dollars.

“And Democrats get to do whatever they want, whenever they want, with zero consequences ever or else it’s fascism,” says the Post.

Stupidity is not only reserved for Democrats.

The corrupt and craven Republican establishment led for years by China supporter Sen. Mitch McConnel is on its last legs.

Consider his ally, the Republican fool from North Carolina, Sen. Tom Tillis.

“Tom Tillis is part of an establishment GOP that now has waning power, has waning influence in Washington. And this is sort of the last gasp of the Mitch McConnell wing of the GOP that’s slowly disappearing,” Federalist Senior Editor John Daniel Davidson said on Newsmax.

“It’s, frankly, to me, disgusting to hear someone like Tillis say that he opposes Ed Martin because he defended defendants on January 6th, when one of our own Founding Fathers, John Adams, defended British soldiers who killed American patriots. Offering legal defense for the accused is not disqualifying.

If anything, it shows Ed Martin’s commitment to the rule of law, as does the pardons that freed up resources in the DOJ to go after actual violent criminals in Washington, DC.”

Yes, the Democrats are power mad, and determined to destroy our nation because they hate it. And Republicans like Tillis and McConnel? I’ve seen the spineless half of the bi-partisan combine destroy a great state of Illinois.

For Illinois and Chicago there is no reprieve, no sanctuary. The Combine chopped Chicago and Illinois to bits, and sold off the scrap. Just as they will destroy America herself.

Think of 1793 and now think of 2025. There is only one responsible thing to do:

See them clearly for who they are and what they want.

And vote like the life of your nation depends upon it.

Because it does.

Let’s hope the American people wake up and wash their eyes before the 2026 mid-term elections, so they might save the country.

If they don’t save it, at least polish the face-cages for the rats. And polish up Madame Guillotine. Because I think she’ll be busy,

  1. No need to get too ginned up over a few professional protestors looking for headlines on slow news day. Nobody in the Democratic Primary for NJ governor has hit 20% yet, it’s a 5-6 way battle with no clear leader. Baraka got some headlines and name recognition outside Essex County, there is no mass support for him or for closing that facility.
I work about a 10 minute walk from the older, larger facility in NJ. Nothing – no protests, no incidents. Anything can happen between now and November but it’s more likely than not that GOP Cittarelli will be our next governor, possible with one house of the legislature under GOP control. Please, please, please, a NJ DOGE!!!!!! A few changes and our fleeing population will slow or halt and we can benefit from the flight from NY and reindustrialization of the US.

    1. Remember the Brown Shirts? They were considered with same scrutiny by Weimar Media as Jake the Fake and Rachel Mancow.

These morons are dangerous, but nowhere near as dangerous as the white-haired boomers shouting Sesame Street slogans and the media that cuddles them .

Now, is the timne to “gin-up” scrutiny, ridicule and some good-old-American due process.

“Free Ras Baraka! Free Ras Baraka!” Don’t cost nothing. Get yours today!

      2. Ras Baraka = Brownshirts? Really? He’d love that. What has he done? 1. He was arrested and is now subject to Federal Charges. 2. He forced the other 5 candidates in the Dem Primary to support him [that’ll hurt in the general election]. 3. He’s gained little vote-wise and he’s forcing the other 5 to burn more money in the primary that they won’t have for the general election [Cittarelli will be properly financed this time]. 4. He’s injected yet another feud [the 3rd] into the Dem Primary, splitting them further.
When your opponents are making a big mistake, let them!

BTW, the Brownshirts didn’t put Hitler in power, the Army did!

  2. I’m counting on young men who can see the shrill nature of the radicals like AOC and the rest as evidenced by their votes for Trump last November! They have become quite the red pilled political force. I have one in my family. I know his friends are in conformity. It’s a beautiful development that needs to be written about in more outlets! Bring it on, AOC and LaMonica Ivers and Julia Stratton and Kathy Hochul – oh, meet my son!

  3. This brilliant Kass column raises the question of how our country, founded in the late eighteenth century on a profound constitution and citizen liberty, could now have a major faction trying to push us back toward the worst of the late eighteenth century: the barbaric, bloodthirsty French Revolution.

Two answers to that question from the thinking side of the aisle:

“There are some ideas so absurd that only an intellectual could believe them.” ― George Orwell

“In the long run, the greatest weapon of mass destruction is stupidity.” — Thomas Sowell

And two from the barbaric side:

“Never before in my life have I called for mass protests, for mobilization, for disruption, but I am now.” — Gov. J.B. Pritzker

“God d—-it, shut down the Senate! . . . We are at war!” — Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-Bob Menendez’ NJ)

  4. This is a good comparison. What I don’t get is how it all becomes one big conflagration? Is it the common sense side deciding en masse not to pay taxes? Is it riots like Kenosha, with the common sense side finally taking up arms to defend their businesses and homes rather than letting law enforcement stand idly by and do nothing? How does this develop?

  5. I happened to be watching this unfold. I wondered why was the media there? Why give a platform to three people? Now three will turn into hundreds. Then the cries of burn it down will be screamed. And they will light it on fire and we’ll have another summer of watching an area burn. And law enforcement will lose a man or two. But hey the cause will be worth it. I’m sick of watching this shit show. I’m done with the hate.
    Thanks for your column.

    1. Newark burned back in 1967 [I remember it all too well!] and has never recovered. There’s very little in Newark to loot and little desire for riot.
Jersey City may well pass it in population and already has in prosperity. Elizabeth never fell too far and always seems to muddle on. Paterson and Camden are long lost. The ‘Summer of Love/George Floyd riots’ didn’t really happen here – NYC & Philly got that dubious honor.
It was a slow news day and the arrests occurred shortly before local prime time.

  6. It may be a bit more complex and diabolical now. A corner has been turned and we saw it in November. After decades of aborting their future voters and the bleeding of the middle class and minority factions of their party, the Dems’ voter base is evaporating. The open border became their the first step of the Voter Restocking Program. The immediate goal has to be if they can stop the criminals from being deported then all the rest of the illegal invaders will be safe at home. And when they do taste some power again, they’ll wave the magic wand granting citizenship and voter rights.

  7. Didn’t know that about Adams defending Brits – good stuff. Idea, what if, to save money, we naturalized illegals en masse – giving them conditional citizenship, citizenship conditioned on two things 1) you are not a criminal, nor will you commit a felony during your probationary period 2) we will count your vote, at the National level, as voting for Republicans EXCLUSIVELY for a minimum of 6 election cycles, The Administration votes you, by proxy.

Who loses? Trump should just toss this one out there just to get a rise

  8. It is certainly not the Country I found when I came to America, and it will never be the same ever again. The kids are being brainwashed, and have no clue about History or what is happening to them. The Press is Evil, simply evil I do not watch TV anymore. Done with all the nonsense and mind my own business and let people destroy themselves and the Country that gave us so much.

  9. Speaking of law and order and no one is above the law, when are the COVID and PPE fraudsters who many were government employees profited off the phony baloney “health” crisis going to be criminally prosecuted, Kwame?

  10. H.L. Mencken perfectly captured the mentality of Leftists who wish to save the world: “behind every desire to save the world is a secret desire to rule it.”

  11. Great work as always, Mr. Kass.

I guess what bothers me the most is the blatant hypocrisy of some of these (sic) “elected officials”, and our beloved “media”. Freedom of Speech and Nobody is Above the Law are, as I was taught, almost absolutely applied. Of course, there is the old caveat that “shouting fire in a crowded theater” isn’t covered, but even that can be misinterpreted.

Freedom of Speech only exists for some if you agree with these folks and follow along on their “agenda”. Nobody is Above the Law only applies to someone who is not part of their “agenda”. The (sic) “media” has fallen into this thinking hook, line, and sinker (I’m an old guy, what can I say). The latest fiasco regarding the mental acuity of the former president, which was not reported accurately, is an example. And then a “respected journalist”, Mr. Tapper, helps to write a book which goes against what he and others were saying publicly? It is no wonder that I haven’t watched the (sic) “news” in over ten years.

I find it insulting to watch some talking head, who may not have ever had an original thought, reading a teleprompter, and trying to convince me how to think. As long as I go along with their “agenda”, I’m OK, but if I have the audacity to question their positions I’m anti-(fill in the blank here) and therefore should be castigated. Hypocrisy in action, and I fear that you are right as to where this will lead. I love this country dearly, but I worry every day about what my grandchildren are going to inherit.

  12. Another great column. I had forgot the Demorats deporting millions. Thanks.
But I fear the GOP will rule for a short time. Midterms almost always affect party in power. If the Dems take over either branch in Congress and along with the fact Trump is lame duck it will revert back to chaos. I think of Trump as the Abbie Hoffman of GOP. Makes great theater, says outrageous things, thereby gets the press. Cocky and irreverent. There’s nobody like him to follow. Vance? Way too intelligent for average guy. Who else is there? Marco Rubio? Maybe. DeSantis? Again maybe. As far as Dems, their only hope is the governor of PA. if Dems pick another screechy misandrist woman the GOP could hold on. But Jag Bag Prickster has the money to run which I’d love to see. He’s protected by the press here. He wouldn’t be if he goes national. Fox News would expose him. And I think Jelly Belly knows that. I bet he is a coward and backs out. He can’t handle being challenged at live press conferences.

    1. In the end the midterms will come down to the economy; and unfortunately, Trump is playing with fire. If we go into recession later in the year, or if the Chinese play hardball, and we have empty shelves for the Christmas season, the Dems will win in a landslide.

      1. Agreed. As one Democratic Party wiseman once said: “it’s all about the economy, stupid.” The corollary is if the economy is booming the Dems will lose in a landslide. And I think Trump – or at least his advisors – got that message recently.

  13. These fools try to make the case they’re fighting for due process. Anyone with any knowledge of the legal system knows that the legal system drags. I’ve sat in criminal courts for eight hours without one case having been adjudicated. With an estimated 20 million illegals brought into this country by Joe Biden, it would take at least twenty years to give the illegals “due process”. Even if they ran immigration courts twenty four hours a day. I’m sure the appointed federal judges would be extremely happy with being assigned midnight duties in these courts. The same methods that Biden used to allow these illegals in should also be used to get them out. Executive order. Here’s a suggestion on how to get the actual truth of the situation out. Maybe some intrepid reporter can go to the immigration courts to interview the judges and attorneys to find out exactly how they would give the twenty million illegals their “due process”. The length of time to hear each case. The astronomical court costs these trials would incur. I’m pretty sure this report won’t happen. It doesn’t suit the narrative the mainstream media is trying to shape. Thankfully no one believes the lies and misinformation they spout. The people elected Trump to do exactly what he’s doing. And so far he’s doing a great job…

  14. Yianni,
It’s all about theater, isn’t it? As mentioned above, how does “the media” know when to show up? Someone gave them a “tip” right? No – it was all orchestrated and planned for maximum viewing by mainstream media. You know it’s a put up job, when the cameras don’t pan out to show the masses involved – the close up view only shows a handful of “protesters” in confrontation with the ICE agents. Where is the hysteria? Where are the throngs of protesters that didn’t show up? All about theater to gin us up and vote for the socialists in next time. However, ain’t gonna happen. The show’s about over….and a new sheriff is in town! If only he could clean up Chicago and Illinois. But that’s a battle for another day!

  15. “Illegal Alien”, “undocumented migrant”, “undocumented immigrant”, “refugee”…
Let me add another name that seems to be forgotten. “Citizen of other country”. Why? It’s true. It’s correct. Are we deporting or are we repatriating? These people do have citizenship. In other counties.

  16. John Kass, that was inspirational and patriotic all in one breath. God bless and keep you well.
Your litany of what the Ds are wanting lacked a few words recently devised by Schumer et al. “we are looking FORWARD” when being asked a question that they do not want to answer….hmm.
Yes, their rants and protests are signs of their wanting to gain a news bit here and there, but are NOT finding any willing press, good press, ready to show their colors.
Just heard a few claps of thunder here and so it is off to the safety of a staircase in our condo.
God bless you and yours John Kass.
    Tom
