  1. Mortality. Painful to contemplate. I’ve been a avid follower of John since his days at the Paper. He was a lone voice as the Tribune slipped over to the dark side. Yes, I’m a selfish båstård in wanting John not to go away as his voice is so desperately needed these days. But, I get it. John, you will be missed of this I am sure. Take care and enjoy the future!

  2. Wish you the very best, John Kass. Sad we have to lose you and your views on life in and around Chicago and the State of Illinois. You have been a beacon for more than half of my life. Enjoy your new found relaxation with the Beautiful Betty and your family. To your better health, I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

  3. John Kass mornings will NEVER be the same. Like Diogenes you shed light on the dark corners of government and politics. Yanni, we hardly knew ya. God Bless and happy trails as you as you navigate at least two dozen more turns around the sun. At my age hoping for 15 or more. It’s been a great ride from page two. When you got pushed to the editorial page I knew the left had taken over the only sensible news in town.
Enjoy the rest of your time. Your family has earned it.
