Chicago Way w/John Kass: Hold elected officials accountable for crime, not platitudes
Chicago Way w/John Kass (03/20/23): This week, former Cook County and federal prosecutor Bob Milan joins John Kass & Jeff Carlin to talk about which strategies and policies the next mayor of Chicago should consider, like holding weekly press conferences to call out elected officials who fail to keep the city safe, like the chief judge, state’s attorney, and police superintendent. Hello, anyone home.
Good to hear your strong voice again, Yianni. And yes, we must ensure that all concealed carry owners are properly trained in the use and handling of weapons. The best training I received in CC was – just because you have a weapon, doesn’t mean you have to use it! Deadly force, is just that, deadly. If you can remove yourself from a threatening situation, do so – run, flee if possible, call for help. Once you pull that weapon and shoot someone, your life will never be the same, even if you kill the perpetrator of crime against you, thus saving your own life. Taking a human life must never be taken lightly – as the gangs and their members seem to relish. Again, training, training, training! Let’s hope Paul can reverse the slide into oblivion of Chicago, once a “fair city!”
Training absolutely. You need a driver’s license, one should be required for firearms as well.
You need insurance for your car too. You should have insurance for your deadly weapon.
If your weapon is stolen, and you don’t report it, you should be liable if it was used in a crime, just as you are for tickets on your plate for your car.
Toni the neck is the head of Crook county. She runs Foxx and the judges
Nice discussion. You’re wrong about licensed CCW, but that’s okay.
Getting every player on board will be impossible. Too many politicians have poor choices in donors.
